Meadow Brook Parent Newsletter
May 2024
Our mission at MBI is to attend to and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, ensure high levels of learning for all students, and show GRIT every day. We are looking forward to a successful and engaging second semester.

Bronco Leadership Code
Our Bronco Leadership Code is how we recognize our students each month at our GRIT assemblies. Each letter in LEADERSHIP stands for a trait we, as a district, strive to live out. May we are looking for PERSEVERANCE and will recognize students at our GRIT assemblies at the end of the month. Parents and families of students who are chosen will be contacted by their teachers and are invited to join us at these assemblies.
5th grade GRIT Assembly: Thursday, May 9
6th Grade GRIT Assembly: Friday, May 10
Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10
Our fantastic teachers have spent the year getting to know, getting to grow, and getting to love your kiddos, now it's time to show them some much deserved appreciation for their hard work and dedication! Scan the QR code on the graphic below to find the teachers' favorites list and/or write them a kind note showing your appreciation! Each day celebrates a different group of teachers. Contact the office if you have any questions or need assistance!
Worth the Read
Book Club
Mrs. Pool, our Media Specialist, is hosting a quarter 4 book club! during lunch/recess! There are two books she will be reading with the clubs: Lines of Courage by Jen Nielsen (the author that visited our 6th graders!) is the March read and the April read is The Labors of Hercules Beal by Gary D. Schmidt. See the flyer below for details and if you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Pool at poolj@mustangps.org

Parent Portal is now open to students and parents! This is where you can check your student's grades and monitor their progress. Your student can log in using their Chromebook sign in credentials, or you can set up an account by emailing psppsupport@mustangps.org
