Important Notice for Plymouth Families, Faculty, and Staff
August 23, 2024
Parks and Field Closures
Due to the Town of Plymouth’s HIGH risk status for Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), the
Plymouth Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) working in concert with the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) is taking proactive measures to ensure everyone’s safety.
Effective immediately, all parks and fields—both school and Town-operated—will be closed from dusk until dawn. This decision aims to minimize exposure during peak mosquito activity times.
For detailed information and important advisories, please refer to the attached letter.
Please be on the lookout for any notifications from your school regarding practice and/or game schedule changes which may be impacted as a result of this order.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
