An e-newsletter from Pinewood Elementary School

June 5th, 2025
Dear Pinewood Families,
As we wrap up this incredible school year, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and joy. This was my first year as principal at Pinewood, and I couldn’t have imagined a more welcoming and supportive community. It has truly been a joy to join this special place.
One of the greatest highlights of the year has been witnessing the joy of learning in our classrooms — the curiosity in our students’ questions, the pride in their accomplishments, and the creativity that fills our halls. Our students have worked hard, grown in so many ways, and brought their unique energy and talents to each day.
Mr. Wade and I are also deeply grateful for our dedicated staff, who give so much of themselves to ensure every child is seen, supported, and inspired. Their passion and commitment have made a lasting impact on our school.
To our amazing PTA — thank you for the incredible carnival, successful fundraisers, and the many community events you brought to life this year! The fifth graders all say thank you for their yearbook! Your support of the Pinewood community is truly appreciated and has made a big difference.
And to all our families — thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and tireless support. Whether it was volunteering in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your involvement has strengthened our school in countless ways.
Mr. Wade and I feel so fortunate to be part of the Pinewood community, and we are already looking forward to another year of learning and growing together. Wishing you and your family a joyful, restful, and safe summer!
Warmly,
Lena Christiansen, Principal
Cory Wade, Associate Principal
