Message from the Principal
Hello Spartan Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers,
We have reached the first big break of the school year! It has been a really great start to the year. I am really proud of how well our staff and students did during the first trimester. We are seeing some really great academic outcomes throughout the building!
I hope this week off for Thanksgiving is a restful one for you and your student(s). I hope it provides some quality family time and an energy boost for the three weeks before Winter Break!
Sincerely,
Cody Japinga

Winter Reminder
One of the challenges of the winter is students getting to school on time. We know that snow will happen but we can’t adjust the start of school with the weather. Please encourage your student to get an earlier jump on the day when the weather impacts the roads. We also ask that you continue to use patience and care in our parking lot through the winter months.
Added Parent Informational Series Night
LHS has added another date to our Parent Informational Series on December 4. We will be discussing the many ways that students can earn college credit while in high school. This is a topic that can save LHS families A LOT of money. Please join me and members of our counseling department at 6:30pm in the high school forum.
Students Signing Out
If you need to sign your student out for an appointment, it is easier for everyone if you call as early in the day as possible. If you call the attendance line and let us know what time your student needs to leave, we will get them a pass that will excuse them from class. They will then be able to sign themselves out and be ready to go!
Parent Survey Reminder
Please take a few minutes to complete our family survey if you have not already done so. Your feedback will help us improve student success and strengthen our learning environment.
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete. Your time is very much appreciated.
Your responses are confidential, and honest feedback will guide our efforts to create a supportive school environment for everyone.
The surveys are an important part of our strategic planning process. If you have children at more than one Lakeview school, please complete a survey for each school using the survey link specific to that building.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can make our school the best it can be!
