Lemira Elementary School Updates:

School Announcements
1. SCREADY Testing:
- Students will continue taking the SCREADY state assessment May 4th - May 20th
- Please see the testing schedule above for your scholar's grade level days
- Please ensure students receive plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and review the skills/concepts for their grade level standards.
- Encourage your scholar to take his/her time on the test and to do their very best!
- Please review the testing letter, which has been sent home.
2. Upcoming End of Year (EOY) Awards Days
- PreK Graduation - May 25th @ 9:00am
- 2nd Grade EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 30th @ 8:00 am - LES Campus
- 3rd Grade EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 30th @ 9:15am - LES Campus
- 4th Grade EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 30th @ 12:30pm - LES Campus
- 5th Grade EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 30th @ 6pm - SHS Auditorium
- Kindergarten EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 31st @ 8am - LES Campus
- First Grade EOY Promotion Ceremony - May 31st @ 9:15am - LES Campus
3. Field Day
- Field Day will take place Friday, May 26th
- Please reference flyer for details.
- T-shirt options: We would love for everyone to purchase a field day t-shirt. If you choose not to, please feel free to wear your designated grade level's color. Please see flyer.
- T-shirts are on sale. Please see flyer.
- Parents are invited to attend field day with their student. Please limit to two guests per student (+18 over)
4. School Fees and Discipline Referrals
- Students will be receiving letters this week in regards to school fees.
- If your scholar in grades PreK - 4th have fees owed, he or she will waive their participation in field day.
- If your scholar in grades 5th owe fees, he or she will waive fees in participation of field day and promotion ceremony.
- Please ensure all fees are paid by Wednesday, May 24th.
- If you have any questions or are not sure of the fees owed, please call the school.
- Fee letters will be sent out next week.
- In order to attend field day, students cannot recieve 5 or more referrals for the year. This statement has been included in the "Student and Parent" handbook, which was given to each student in the beginning of the year.
Collection Dates
May 2 - Collection of Library Books
May 8th - Fee Letters will be sent home
May 18th - 19th: Kind - 2nd Collection of Chromebooks
May 22nd - 23rd - 3rd - 5th Collection of Chromebooks
* Please ensure your scholar returns library books and Chromebook to avoid fees.
5. Yearbooks are still on sale!
- Don't forget to capture your memories by ordering one! Please see flyer for details.
6. Half Days:
- May 31st and June 1st
7. PreK and Kindergarten New Student Registration:
- The window opened Monday, Feb.20th.
- Daily Registration is Monday - Friday (9am - 3pm)
- Please provide proof of the following:
A. Official Birth Certificate , Proof of Residence, Physical Examination Form (Kindergarten Only), Medicaid Card/Proof of Income (PreK Only), and South Carolina Immunization Form 4024
- Kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, 2023.
- Prekindergarten students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2023.
- The prekindergarten program is not state mandated, and there are a limited number of slots available at each school.

Online Registration Option:
8. EXACT Path: Students are encouraged to log into EXACT Path daily while at home. They have a dedicated time during the school day to work on their learning paths. However, we do encourage students to continue practicing their "Leveled" skills in their "Reading and Math" learning pathways. Students are recognized bi-weekly for their mastery progress and usage minutes.
