The Final Countdown—Just 4 More Wake-Ups Until Spring Break! 🌸🌞🎉
We’ve made it to the home stretch, and the excitement is building—just four more wake-ups until a well-deserved Spring Break! This time of year is always a whirlwind, filled with learning, activities, and the energy of the changing season. Through it all, our staff, students, and families continue to show up with dedication and excitement.
Let’s make these last few days count! Stay focused, stay positive, and let’s lift each other as we push through to the finish line. Whether you’re taking a trip, spending time with family, or just catching up on some well-earned rest, I hope this break brings you the chance to recharge and return refreshed.

Elementary Hours:
Doors open at 7:40, classes begin at 7:59. Dismissal at 3:05.
Jr/Sr High Hours:
Doors open at 7:30, classes begin at 7:49. Dismissal at 2:55.
Transportation Excellence Awards
The Transportation Excellence Awards recognize excellence in the safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation of students. By recognizing impact of our transportation department, we aim to highlight the profound influence they have on their students, schools, and communities. This department has demonstrated the true meaning of team and grit. We want to highlight that through all of struggles and turnover, this team has stayed in tact for three years. They are more than just a team-- they are a family.
The Years of Service category recognizes educators who have demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment throughout their careers. This award honors those who have devoted significant time and effort to shaping the minds of future generations, consistently contributing to the success of their students and communities over the course of many years. Whether it’s through years of teaching, leadership, transportation, or support, these educators have made a lasting impact and set a standard of excellence in education.
5 years: Vicky Sandburg and Steve Racine
For Attendance, we want to recognize staff who have exceeded expectations to model for our students the impact of daily attendance. Of the course of the 2024-25 school year, these two have demonstrated and modeled reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic for our students. We are pleased to present the 100% Attendance Award to Geoff Boden for his exceptional commitment and dedication to Bellevue Community Schools. Geoff has had perfect attendance since 2018! Our staff who have 98% attendance or better goes to: Steve Racine and Michaela Hewitt.
Lastly, the Above and Beyond award goes to a bus driver who consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication by constantly volunteering for extra shifts and field trips. Their reliability, flexibility, and willingness to go the extra mile ensure that students have safe, dependable transportation at all times. Whether it’s covering additional routes or assisting with special events, this driver’s commitment to their role plays a crucial part in the success of the school’s transportation system. They truly make a difference in the lives of students and staff by offering their time, expertise, and positive attitude whenever needed. The 3rd quarter end date has been moved to March 21st. This is because we had so many days off due to weather cancellations. This will allow the marking periods to be more balanced. If you have any questions, please contact your student's building administrator.

Jr/Sr:
- Lisa Redmer was award The Outstanding Counselor Award from Kellogg Community College. We are so grateful for her efforts and ability to lead our young adults into the next step of their life. Congratulations!
- MS students enjoyed a day at the Roller Rink. This was a great opportunity for our students to build relationships with their peers and learn a new skill.
- On March 21st , selected students will get certified in CPR with Mrs. Morgan.
- Please join our After School Tutoring additional help or support with any of your classwork. Let us help you. Snacks included too!
We have two new members to the Think30 club! Congratulations to Calin R. and Eamon! These dedicated learners have officially joined the THINK 30 Club by completing 30 or more Imagine Math lessons.
Mrs. Miller is inviting you and your students to join her Jr./Sr. High School band for a short performance in the gym on March 26th from 2:30 to 2:50 PM. It’s sure to be an exciting musical experience for everyone! 🎶🎉
- The DIT/ MICIP team just completed the District Capacity Assessment and scored 94% on in. One year ago, the baseline score was 9%. That is ENORMOUS growth in 1 year. Congratulations team!

Reading Success Professional Development

Come learn about the seven moves Lindsay Kemeny made in her classroom to ensure reading success for all her students. She will share seven ways teachers can modify what they are currently doing to transform their reading instruction. Each “mighty move” focuses on a critical area of foundational reading-from the most efficient ways to teach phonemic awareness and phonics to how to boost comprehension. Lindsay will briefly discuss each move and offer up a specific strategy for each one that you can implement right away.
