The measles virus(also known as rubeola) affects the respiratory system. It is caused by the paramyxovirus. The virus enters through the respiratory system(breathing), multiplies there, and then circulates around the body in the bloodstream. This causes it to spread faster and show symptoms sooner.
Measles Vaccine
The measles vaccine is available for $1 in developed countries. But in less developed countries the measles vaccine is not available to the people so they are more likely to catch the virus. Some families believe that the measles vaccine leads to disabilities so they do not get their children vaccinated. This causes the measles to be able to spread and does not stop the virus. 92% of children get the vaccine but still 1 out of 12 people who did not get the shot, get measles. The measles vaccine resulted in a 75% drop in deaths from measles between 2000 - 2013.
Recommendation
We recommend that we make the measles vaccine required to all people who want to attend school or apply for a job. That way we can stop the spread of this dangerous virus and save more people. So that people can afford this vaccine we could have campaign so that people can donate money. Even a dollar makes a difference in someone else's life.
