Pentecost Sunday
The Coming of the Holy Spirit
Good morning St. Athanasius Families,
"Before the day of Pentecost, the disciples were afraid of going out to preach the Good News, but when the Holy Spirit came upon them, they dashed out of the House and started proclaiming the message of the resurrection without fear.
The presence of the Holy Spirit made the difference, and has continued to make a difference. Let us, therefore, pray for the presence of the Holy Spirit in our own Churches and Homes, to free us from fear and to empower us with the courage to be good testimonies of Christ wherever we live and wherever we go."
At mass on Sunday, Father Anayo said it is the Holy Spirit that us gives the power to do the will of God. It is the Spirit that transforms our lives. It is the Sprit that breathes life into to the word of God enabling us hear God's message and do God's work.
May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us as well take up the cross, and continue to do the work of our Lord.
Yours in Christ,
M. Bradwell

Keeping St. A's Strong, Safe and STEM Ready!
Principal's Message
Good morning Parents/Guardians,
Thank you everyone who has donated to our Keeping St. A's Strong, Safe and STEM Ready! campaign. Your generous donations are greatly appreciated and will help us reach our goal of $15,000.
Why is STEM education important?
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, businesses are growing in Pennsylvania, and they want skilled and well-educated workers who are prepared for the 21st century economy. Students need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to enter the workforce and be successful in a tech-driven, global economy.
"Our lives are quite rapidly being changed by STEM innovations, from AI learning to medical science, the ways we connect with friends and family and the way that we produce our food. STEM touches almost every part of our lives these days, so it’s important for children to take part in STEM learning early to get a good understanding of the world around them."
Our scholars are not just strong, but St. A's strong. Please support our fundraiser.
