Message from Chair of Montco Commissioners
Letter of Congratulations for 8th-grade Students, from Commissioner Jamila Winder
June 2024
Dear Graduate:
Congratulations on this major milestone in your academic career: your graduation!
As Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, I applaud you for your hard work. You and your loved ones should feel very proud of what you have achieved.
As you take the next step in your school journey, remember to stay close with your community. Whether you are starting kindergarten, going to middle school, or beginning high school, keep these memories with you.
I encourage you to keep being curious. Always try to learn new things. Be kind to others. Help out where you can. Even small actions, like helping at home or being a good friend, can make a big difference. It is important to be someone who cares about making the world a better place.
No matter what comes next, always know that there are people who believe in you. I know you can do amazing things, and I can't wait to see what you accomplish next.
Sincerely,
Jamila H. Winder
Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners

Nurse Dismissals
Students should not be calling or texting parents/guardians to pick them up when not feeling well during the school day. All students are required to see our school nurse, Ms. Nally who will determine if there is a need to send the student home. Then the nurse will contact parents/guardians to pick up the student.
Student ID Cards
Students are expected to have their ID cards out and ready to scan at the cashier for breakfast, lunch and snack purchases. If students are in need of a replacement student ID card they can get a new one by stopping by to see tech aides in room CAO3.
