The school year is in full swing and we are happy to have students in PreK through Grade 12 all now attending. The classrooms have been filled with learning and preparations for our upcoming open houses.

Earlier this week we conducted lockdown drills to ensure staff and students have a clear understanding of how to respond to potential incidents. Conducting these drills ensures that we are prepared for all possible incidents. We thank you for your continued support in helping to ensure school safety.

We hope you are able to join us tonight for our first home football game of the season with kickoff at 7:00... Go Indians!

On Friday, September 13, Ware Junior Senior High School's Cafe 171 (previously known as the LEAP Cafe) had a grand re-opening. The cafe is run by the students, which is open on Fridays for staff to purchase a coffee, tea or hot chocolate, along with a delicious treat. During their grand re-opening they made banana bread and at the request of Dr. Lovato made chocolate chip muffins this week.

The students learn valuable life skills as they research for the best recipe, shop for ingredients, bake and serve to their customers. Money management is a lesson learned in the cafe as they search for the best sales to purchase their ingredients nd handle payment for their goods.

Join us for the Springfield Thunderbirds opening weekend, Sunday, October 13, at 3:05 p.m. and help support the Ware Public Schools! A portion of each ticket sold will go back to the schools

To ensure you are contacted in the event of an emergency, school closing or delay, please make sure your contact information is updated with your child's school.

In addition to a phone call and email being sent, closures and delays will also be posted on our district website and Facebook pages, along with local news stations Western Mass News and WWLP.

The Ware Public Schools Food Service Department provides a comfortable and encouraging environment in which nutritious and wholesome meals are offered. A well-balanced diet is essential for growing children and teenagers, so we design each meal to include all major food groups. Our meals provide the nutrients students need to focus on academics and to perform their best.

Ware Public Schools participates in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. As part of this program, all schools offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to the students for the 2024-2025 school year.
