Callahan Intermediate’s Girls on the Run program is preparing for their 5K on December 7th at UNF. Along the way, they are learning life lessons about empathy, friendship, and self-awareness.

Second-grade students at Hilliard Elementary explored the importance of gratitude and thankfulness during Thanksgiving Rotations. They shared memories of past Thanksgivings and expressed their appreciation for home and school while looking forward to the holiday ahead.

Biology students at West Nassau High School dissected flowers to explore pollination, seed germination, and plant growth. This hands-on lab, made possible by a flower donation from Winn Dixie of Callahan, brought classroom concepts to life. Additionally, Anatomy and Physiology students used carrots to simulate bone fractures, deepening their understanding of skeletal systems.

Fernandina Beach Middle School students participated in the Butterfly Project, a global initiative honoring the 1.5 million Jewish children who lost their lives during the Holocaust. Inspired by the poem I Never Saw Another Butterfly, this project promotes remembrance and hope through creative expression.
