BHS PreCollege + Summer Programs 🌞
🆕 SNHS New Inductee Meeting June 3rd
🚨 You will not receive your financial aid or be able to register for classes unless the college you are attending in the fall has your final transcript showing your graduation date!
You must order your final HS transcript using Parchment.
🙋 Parchment FAQs
What is Parchment?
Parchment is a transcript delivery service that we (and most high schools and many colleges use). This is how BHS sends your high school transcript to colleges, employers, the military and so on. The account you create today will be the same account you will log in to years from now if you need to request a transcript to show proof of graduation.
Do I need a Parchment account if I’m not planning to go to college?
Yes, everyone needs a Parchment account as many employers will need to see proof of graduation in order to hire you.
💻 Four steps to follow
1. Create your Parchment "New Learner" account using your personal email address & password
- Be sure to use your full legal name so that your account can be properly matched to your transcript.
- You will have to waive FERPA rights.
- Only complete the required fields!
2. You will be sent a verification code to the email address that you used. This can take a few minutes.
3. Once you enter the code, you must link Berkley High School to your account.
- Look for the + sign at the center of the screen.
- If you don’t see it, click on the Parchment Icon at the top left of your screen and click on Dashboard to take you to the correct screen.
4. Order Transcripts.
- Select the Destination (Name of college, employer, etc).
- All transcripts orders for seniors are FREE (no cost)
👀 Look out for...
- Parchment will ask your permission to share your personal information with colleges and universities. We highly recommend you say NO, so that you do not receive spam.
- If Parchment asks you to provide your GPA, area of study -- you are in the WRONG SPOT! Click the Parchment icon and then Dashboard to return to the correct area.
- The red line completion at the top is NOT important!
📩 Create/Update Personal Email before Graduation
Have you used your BRK email to apply for scholarships, college, or jobs?
If so, you’ll want to switch to a personal email address ASAP. Most school accounts get shut off after graduation, which means you could miss essential updates (or lose access entirely).
✅ Create a professional personal email (e.g., firstname.lastname@gmail.com)
✅ Update your email address on any accounts tied to your school email:
- College application portals (like Common App or university logins)
- Scholarship platforms (like Going Merry or others)
- Job search accounts (Indeed, Handshake, etc.)
- Any subscriptions or alerts (SAT/ACT, FAFSA, etc.)
It only takes a few minutes, but can save you a big headache later.
Senior Survey - only 77% of seniors have responded!

🚨 SENIORS: Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA
STEP 1: Create your FSA ID (student, parent/guardian)
The Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID (or studentaid.gov login) is a username and password that is required to log in and access all Federal Student Aid websites, including the FAFSA. Serves as a legal signature when you submit your FAFSA. Go to studentaid.gov and click “create account” in the upper right hand corner. (do not use your BRK email)
👉 All those contributing to a FAFSA (parent/guardian) must create separate FSA IDs
🤷 Not sure who counts as a parent? Use the “Who is My Parent?” tool
STEP 2: Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA
- Gather the information needed to complete the FAFSA: You’ll need information on income, assets, and demographics. 📝This handy FAFSA checklist can help you organize everything you need.
- Begin the FAFSA, invite your parent as a contributor to the FAFSA. Enter your parent/guardian email, so they can complete their portion of the FAFSA.
- List the colleges, trade schools, that you applied to or are thinking of applying to. You can always log-in later and edit your ranking of schools.
- You and your parent/contributor will need to "sign" your FAFSA with your FSA IDs.
