Training Goals
- Understand academic language acquisition and how to support the acquisition process
- Become familiar with the 8 components of the SIOP® model
- Participate in engagement strategies to increase language usage in the classroom setting

• AEA Best Practice Coaches
• Strategists
The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol or SIOP® Model is the only empirically validated model of sheltered instruction.
Dates and location:
Participants must attend all 4 days, as each session builds on the next.
