Soto Street Elementary

It's important for me to live in gratitude so I wish to express my gratitude to Armando and his crew for all the headaches and heartaches of the summer. Plant managers sometimes make or break the environment, but his pride and joy of Soto Strreet, really has helped Soto Street thrive!

Additionally, the office staff has endured mostly swetty days, more boxes than they would like to recall, and recolation. Please also express your gratitude to them as well.

Lastly, our out of the classroom support has come with a strong presence. They have been hands on with all the activitiesl leading to day 1. What an amazing team I've been blessed with!

Students are encouraged to spend at least 10 minutes a day on the i-Ready platform in both ELA and Math. They can access the platform via Schoology.

Welcoming Students:

All hands on deck on Monday at 7:30AM. All TAs be prepared to support in the Pavilion.

Help us welcome our students on our Red Carpets with POM POMs, and a warm smile.

Parents on Campus

Parents have been given 5 days to enter and walk students in. All gates will close at 8:00AM.

Starting Agusut 19, only registred Parent Volunteers will be allowed on campus after 8:00AM.

BIC

Reminder NEW BIC procedures. All students eat only from 7:30-8:00AM.

All student should be in class by 8:05 at the latest, ready for instruction.

Guides of Instructional minutes are that we teach Bell to Bell.

Students will be reminded during their recess and lunch to go to the bathroom.

Attendance:

Parents, because our school is a focus school, attendance will be carefully monitored throughout the year. Please know that school visits will be made for students who are absent the 1st week of school.

Staff Handbook

Please make sure you carefully read through the staff handbook. Ms. Lisa has boxed a form required that all employees have read the handbook and submit your verfication. . Please see me if you have any questions.

Parents, please be advised that all teachers are required to make phone calls to inquire about an absence. Please anticipate that and direct all absence notes to teachers so every absence can be clared.

Many parents have signed up to be a Parent Volunteer so far. Please know the next step is in their hands as they must show us a copy of their TB test. All Parents on Campus must have a Parent Volunteer Badge.
