VVSD Supt. Dr. Keith Wood’s End of School Year Message to VVSD Community
As we come to the end of the 2024-25 school year, I want to thank our entire VVSD community for the parts they play in creating our success. At the top of the list of those to thank are all the community members who provide the resources that ensure learning opportunities for Every Learner, Every Day.
We thank the parents, guardians, and trusted adults who provide encouragement and support to our students and emphasize the importance of education.
We also thank all our VVSD staff members who use the resources provided by the community to create the educational interaction in the classroom that is the foundation of learning.
Of course, all this happens because of our students. As a society, we decided a long time ago the best investment we could make in our future was to make certain the following generations are more educated, and more socially aware, than those who came before them. We work tirelessly making sure the links we add to that chain are strong.
Our work is done for 2024-25 with the exception of the start of summer learning experiences across the District. Enjoy the next ten weeks, relax, rest up, read a good book or two, and let’s make sure we are all ready to go when it is time to start up again in August.
By the way, if your 2025-26 VVSD student has yet to be registered for the next school year, visit www.vvsd.org/enrollment for complete information.
We look forward to seeing you again when the new year starts, Thursday, August 14 for Kindergarten through 12th grade-plus students, and Monday, August 18 for Early Childhood students.
Have a great summer!
Dr. Keith Wood
