April STAAR EOC tests
STAAR EOC tests coming up in April
The April STAAR EOC Test Administration is approaching quickly.
STAAR EOC Schedule:
English 1 and English 2: Tuesday, April 8th (A day late arrival day)
Algebra 1: Tuesday, April 22nd (regular school day)
Biology and US History: Wednesday, April 23rd (B day late arrival day)
Earning a passing score on all 5 STAAR EOC assessments is a graduation requirement in the state of Texas. Please save these dates and avoid appointments or other such absences on these testing days.
More details will be forthcoming as we approach the test dates.

LATE BUS ALERT - April 8th and 23rd
Late Bus Schedule for non-testers
April 8th – students not taking the English 1 or English 2 STAAR EOC (A day)
April 23rd – students not taking the Biology or US History STAAR EOC (B day)
Students with late arrival will report to campus at 12:15PM. Second period will start at 12:25pm. We will have our normal afternoon bell schedule.
Students with a 2nd period class at the CTE Center will report to the LHS cafeteria; attendance will be taken. There are no 1st or 2nd period classes at the CTEC on late arrival days.
The transportation department is running a second bus run for students with late arrival. The transportation schedule is posted in the rotunda and the academic hallway common area.

SAT School Day Scores Available
SAT School Day scores from the March 5, 2025 administration will be available April 3rd @ 5pm. Students will need a Registration Code to access their scores from the College Board (CB) portal. Registration codes will be sent to students and parents via email on April 3rd. Students will use that code and their CB log in credentials to obtain their scores at: studentscores.collegeboard.org.
LHS Returning Student Registration for 25-26 School Year
Returning Student Registration for the 2025-26 school year is underway. Please check your email from the district for your invitation email to register your student.
To ensure your student has early access to their schedule in August, please complete their registration and using this link, Submit a Proof of Residency (POR) for the 2025-2026 school year by May 28, 2025. If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please reach out to Ms. Hoffmeister at hoffmeic@friscoisd.org.

May 12 - 15 - Collin College Spring Final Exam Week
*Students are expected to follow the Collin College Academic Calendar and attend Dual Credit classes on days when the FISD Calendar shows school holidays for FISD students, but it is not a holiday for Collin College. (Please check with your professor for class instructions on these days.)
What do I do if my Collin College Dual Credit Class has been cancelled or does not meet (Fridays)?

AP Testing in May
For students planning to take AP exams this May, College Board provides study tools in their online portal. AP Daily: Practice Sessions is a video series that offers practice free-response questions and multiple-choice questions, with the aim of helping students review what they’ve learned throughout the school year.
Students MUST know their College Board Login to Test. Saved passwords cannot be accessed on exam day in Bluebook. If you cannot login on test day, you will NOT be able to test. Please make sure student’s College Board account email and password are memorized.

Xello - Are You Utilizing This Resource?
All our students have access to Xello via their student portal. Beginning their Freshman year they can start taking assessments and researching careers that match their interests or their personality.
Class of 2025 Information
Class of 2025: Volunteer Hours Deadline is April 1, 2025
If you choose to participate in the FISD Community Service Program, your 100 hours of volunteer work have to be logged into Xello no later than April 1st of your Senior year. If you accrue 100 or more hours, you will be distributed a cord to wear at graduation. For more information, visit the Community Service webpage off the Counselors Corner.

Just for Juniors: Supporting your Class of 2026 Student
Applying to college is one of the biggest challenges high school students face today. This presentation is on the college admissions process and the factors important to having a strong application. Parents will learn what matters in the application and how to guide their child through the application process.

Juniors - Are You Eligible for an Academic Patch?
The Academic Patch applications are now available in the registrar's office (front office - A123). If you have earned a cumulative 4.5 GPA or higher for a minimum of five semesters of high school coursework, with at least one being in Frisco ISD, you qualify for an academic patch for your high school letter jacket. If you are interested in receiving this patch, download the application form here, fill it out, and turn it in to Mrs. Symalla, our Registrar, in the Front Office.
Please Note: The Letter Jacket is not purchased through the registrar's office. That is handled in the Athletic Department.

Community Service hours completed from the summer prior to 9th grade through April 1 of the student's Senior year are eligible to count toward the 100 hour goal.

Resources for Frisco ISD Families
Frisco Fastpacs is here to ensure that no child in Frisco has to endure hunger when school is not in session. Every week throughout the school year they deliver individual, pre-packaged meal packs of non-perishable food to all FISD campuses. If you are interested in signing up for this service, please visit www.friscofastpacs.org
Lovepacs-Frisco provides food assistance for the long holiday breaks - Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Break. Each Lovepac box contains canned and pantry items that provide one child breakfast, lunch and a snack for each day of the extended break. Apply here.
Refresh Frisco supplies FISD students in need with quarterly "Refresh Packs" of personal hygiene items. Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is open; use this application link. Visit www.refreshfrisco.org for more information or to learn how to donate.
Frisco Threads provides clothing assistance to students. Families may shop at the clothes closet to select gently used tops, bottoms, dress wear, hoodies, and new underwear and socks (once per semester), in addition to a pair of shoes and coat (once per year).
