For the past 13 years, Tamanend has held an annual Basketball Shootout to raise money in support of the good work done by the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Foundation. This web page will help acquaint you to the KADMF and Tamanend's Basketball Shootout as well as ways that you can get involved.

The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund was started the day after Peggy and Joe Dolan lost their 6-year old daughter, Kelly Anne, to a rare form of leukemia. The Fund's purpose then and now is to help other families who are dealing with the illness or disability of a child. See the link below for more information about the Fund.

Last year, Tamanend raised $33,724 for the KADMF bringing our 12-year total to $268,368. This fall, the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund recognized the students and staff of Tamanend Middle School for our support of the work they do by honoring us with their Compassionate Care Award. Please watch the video below to learn how our long-standing relationship with the Fund has grown into a service project that provides TMS students the opportunity to go beyond themselves to help others. Many former students remain connected to the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund and Tamanend's KAD Project well beyond their TMS years which is just one of the reasons why we say "Tamanend Together Always."

Students can get involved in a number of ways...

• by forming a 3-on-3 basketball team to play at the Shootout on February 23rd
• by attending the Basketball Shootout on February 23rd to enjoy the other activities and cheer on basketball-playing friends
• volunteering to help during the Basketball Shootout
• eating at Pizzaria Uno (see below) on February 6th and/or 7th
• buying TMS/KAD Spirit-ware (see link below)
• purchasing a KAD wristband at Tamanend during lunches
• assist in fundraising

On February 1st we have a half-day. Stop over to Yogurtree in the Barn Shopping Center along with a KAD Yogurtree flier and Yogurtree will donate 20% to the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Foundation. If you buy a gift certificate, Yogurtree will donate 25%. Now that is a sweet treat!

On February 17th Tamanend will host a Family Pancake Breakfast. To make reservations, click here. Please put $7/per person in an envelope with your TMS student's name and his/her homeroom teachers' name on it and have your student deliver the envelope to Mr. Heisey in room 238.

Volunteers are needed for many things such as chaperoning or helping in the cafeteria at the Basketball Shootout. To volunteer, email Mrs. Emily Murray. Families can also support the KADMF by donating directly to the Fund using the link below. Please note that you are from Tamanend.

Local businesses can either donate food, make a monetary donation, or contribute to baskets that are available to win on the day of the Shootout. For more information, contact Mr. Jeff Klein.
