Welcome to the summer reading portal for the North Andover Middle School!

NAMS Summer Reading Portal is open!

Here, you will find a whole host of lists, links, and tools to help you decide what to read this summer. Please keep in mind that the books listed on this site are ONLY suggestions. Please feel free to read any book that interests you.

Click on the following grade-level links for specific instructions from your teachers.

The order of Days will now be:

• Monday, June 3 - Day 2
• Tuesday, June 4 - Day 1
• Wednesday, June 5 - Day 1
• Thursday, June 6 - Day 2
• Friday, June 7 - Day 2

2024 Anne Bradstreet Poetry Contest Announcement

The North Andover Poet Laureate Committee is pleased to announce the contest winners and finalists!

Our panel of judges carefully read and evaluated the poems inspired by the theme:

“Words Changing Worlds- with the help of you”.

Middle School

Winner – Ineshi Jayasekara “Not Too Far Away”

Finalist – Tarun Nair “Changing the World through the Love of Listening"

Finalist -- Kailey Wong "Kindness"

All winners, finalists, and award winners are invited to read their poems at the Anne Bradstreet Poetry Contest Awards Ceremony on the Town Common on the band platform on Saturday, June 1st at 1:00 p.m.

The rain date is Saturday, June 8th at 1:00 PM.

NAMS Yearbooks On Sale Now in the NAMS main office for $40 while supplies last!

Checks should be made payable to NAMS in the amount of $40 per yearbook.

Please write the following in the memo line:

• Student’s Name

• Student’s Team

• Student’s Homeroom

This will help us greatly in preparation for distribution on yearbooks.

Yearbooks can also be paid for in cash from one of the administrative assistants in the main office.

Aren't sure if you ordered a book online? Try the following:

• Search your email for a receipt from Herff Jones.
• Search your junk, spam, and promotions folders.

We also decided that yearbook distribution will take place on the following dates:

• Tuesday, June 11th - Distribute to Grade 8

• Wednesday, June 12th - Distribute to Grade 6 & 7

Students Not Attending North Andover in the Fall 2024

If a student will not be attending North Andover Public Schools for the upcoming school year, parents/guardians will need to notify Mrs. Barron as soon as possible by either email or coming into the main office of NAMS. At the end of the school year your student’s records will be forwarded to their new school. Please contact Mrs. Barron with any questions at barronm@northandoverpublicschools.com

We have our final MAP administration coming up - Spring 2024!

As with past years, we have expanded the test window to accommodate this busy time of year.

• Grades 6 & 7 MAP Testing window is May 20-31, 2024.
• Grade 8 MAP Testing window is May 20, 2024 - June 7, 2024.

We anticipate sending home family reports the week of June 10th.

We will let you know when we are ready to send the reports home.

Everything continues to go according to plan and we are very excited to add a new wing and more classes to NAMS for the 2025-2026 school year. You can learn more about the project here.
