Mrs. Henning Tribute

Our wonderful kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Henning is retiring at the end of the school year. A former Hough parent, and Mrs. Henning’s former classroom assistant, is organizing a wonderful tribute and everyone is invited to participate. Mrs. Jenna Matta is creating a memory book and is collecting child/family photos that relate to Mrs. Henning, her classroom or Hough in any way. Families may also contribute a written message with a classroom memory or wishes for retirement. Please also include your child’s first and last name. Email pictures and messages to jillsmemorybook@gmail.com. If you would like to make a donation to help with the cost to produce the memory book, please Venmo to @the jennamatta.

Maternity Leave Substitute

I am very excited to announce that we hired Katie Smithberg to fill Kaitlyn Ebel’s maternity leave position as Speech and Language Pathologist at Hough. Mrs. Smithberg will begin following Thanksgiving break.

Family Math

We often get questions from families about how they can best help or support their students at home. Hough Street’s very own instructional coach, Laura Chor, has got you covered. Pride Board

We are excited to relaunch our Pride Board for the 2021-22 school year. During the month of November, we are teaching and recognizing the skill of Communication; the exchanging of ideas and information while thoughtfully listening to others to achieve understanding. We will focus on a different character trait every month. We celebrated 21 Hough Hawks for demonstrating strong communication skills this week.
