RULH FFA Programs Attend Farm Science Review; Ready for Brown County Fair!
RULH Jr/Sr. High School students enjoyed a trip to the Ohio State Farm Science Review on Wednesday, September 18th. The students had a blast exploring the exhibits and learning about the latest trends and innovations in the agricultural industries. Mr. Justin Cluxton (JH Ag. Teacher) and Mr. Daniel Foster (High School Ag. Teacher) organized the trip.

Varsity Lady Jays and JV Lady Jays Go 1-2 this Week
The varsity Lady Jays volleyball team defeated Felicity in three sets this week! The Lady Jays lost to Fayetteville and West Union to finish 1-2 on the week. The Junior Varsity Lady Jays defeated West Union but lost to Felicity and Fayetteville to finish 1-2 on the week. Keep working and improving Lady Jays!

RULH Elementary Students Earn Free Kids Meal at Texas Roadhouse
Digital Media Students Create and Present Pizza Businesses!
Mrs. Ream's Digital Media class were tasked with opening their own pizza business. Students came up with a name and tagline for their restaurant, created a logo and made a variety of other decisions about marketing their business. The next steps for students was to create their logo online as well as a social media ads aimed towards their target markets. Pictured below are Jamya Saunders and Jimmy Miller as they present their pizza business to the class. In the bottom picture, TG Short makes his pizza business presentation. Way to go Jays!
Ripley St. Vincent De Paul Society Holds "Back to School" Underwear & Sock Drive
The local Ripley St. Vincent De Paul Society recently held a "Back to School Underwear and Sock Drive". The drive was held during the summer and will benefit many children. The drive collected 274 men's/boys socks, 140 men's/boys underwear, 380 girls/women's socks, and 365 girls/women's underwear. Pictured below with the donated underwear and socks are Lori Blackburn (St. Vincent De Paul Society Member), RULH Elementary Counselor Regina Smith, and RULH School Nurse Elaine Manning. Brooklyn Manning Finishes 13th in SHAC Golf Tournament!
Congratulations to junior Brooklyn Manning on her 13th place finish in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference girls golf tournament! Also competing for the Lady Jays were Olivia Smith (25th) and Miley Scott (31st). Go Lady Jays!
Eighth Grade Lady Jays Extend Winning Streak and are 12-2 Overall this Season!
This week the 8th grade Lady Jays extended their winning streak to five matches as they defeated Lynchburg Clay and Hamersville! The Lady Jays improved their overall record to 12-2. Eighth grade recognition and "Volley for the Cure" will be held on Friday, September 20th (when the Lady Jays host the Fairfield Lady Lions in their final home game)! Way to go Lady Jays!
Seventh Grade Lady Jays Defeat Fairfield; Lose to Lynchburg and Hamersville
The 7th Grade Lady Jays volleyball team is 11-3 on the season. They went 1-2 this week with a victory over Fairfield and losses to Lynchburg Clay and Hamersville. Keep working Lady Jays!
