WS/FCS Financial Aid Night - Jan 10
Representatives from Winston-Salem State University's Financial Aid Office and UNC-Greensboro's Latino Affairs Office will be available to assist students and families regardless of where they plan attend college.

James L. Einstein College Scholarship
The James L. Einstein College Scholarship provides one $3,000 renewable scholarship to a graduating Crosby Scholar senior who will attend a two- or four-year college or university with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher; who demonstrates participation in community service; and who demonstrates financial need.
Preference may be given to Crosby Scholars seniors whose parents are employees of WestRock Company and work in Forsyth County.
Interested applicants may apply online at www.wsfoundation.org/students The deadline to submit an application is April 1, 2019.

Wake Forest University / Crosby Scholars Scholarship -- APPLY NOW!
Wake Forest University will award $2,000 scholarships annually to up to three graduating Crosby Scholar seniors who have been admitted to WFU. The Wake Forest University/Crosby Scholars Scholarships will be offered to active Crosby Scholars from historically underrepresented populations or families whose parents did not attend college, who rank within the top 20% of their graduating classes, demonstrate financial need, and successfully complete all requirements of the Crosby Scholars Program.
The scholarships will be renewable for four years of undergraduate study for students who continue to uphold the standards of the Crosby Scholars Program and who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 while at Wake Forest.
All Crosby Scholars admitted to WFU who meet the additional criteria will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Crosby Scholars who wish to be considered for this scholarship must submit an application through their Crosby Scholars student portal by February 3, 2019
By submitting this scholarship application, you are verifying that you have submitted an application for admission to Wake Forest University for enrollment in the fall of 2019. You do not have to wait until you have received an admission decision from Wake Forest to apply for this scholarship. We realize that most applicants to WFU will have not received an admissions decision at this time.
Wake Forest officials select the recipients of this scholarship. Recipients are not selected by a Crosby Scholars Program Scholarship Selection Committee. Recipients are notified this spring directly by Wake Forest University before being notified by the Crosby Scholars Program.

Mona W. Lovett Awards Open Jan 21!
Mona W. Lovett Community Volunteer Excellence Award – The Program will award a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to the graduating Crosby Scholar senior who provided outstanding service to the community as evidenced by his or her nomination for this award by a local agency. Opens in the portal January 21, 2019 – Deadline is February 17, 2019
Mona W. Lovett Excellence in Volunteer Leadership Award – The Program will award a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to one graduating Crosby Scholar senior who created, spearheaded, or recruited others to participate in a service activity and who describes the journey as a volunteer leader in a clearly-written essay. Opens in the portal January 21, 2019 – Deadline is February 17, 2019
Mona W. Lovett Service and Relationships Award – The Program will award a non-renewable $1,000 scholarship to one graduating Crosby Scholar senior who made a significant commitment to volunteer service in grades 9-12 and who submits an essay about a significant relationship developed through volunteering, especially one that might not otherwise have been established. Opens in the portal January 21, 2019 – Deadline is February 17, 2019
CSS PROFILE Fee Waivers
The CSS Profile is an additional financial aid form required be some colleges to determine instutitional scholarship eligibilty. Unlike the free FAFSA, the CSS PROFILE does have a cost of $25 for the first application and $16 for each subsequent application.
You may be eligible to receive a CSS PROFILE fee wavier if you will be a first year undergraduate whose parents live in the U.S.:
- You received an SAT fee waiver OR
- The parental income you reported on your application is approximately $45,500 or less for a family of four OR
- You are an orphan or ward of the court under age 24

Still haven't submitted your FAFSA? Get started NOW before your school's FAFSA deadline passes.
Make sure you know the institutional Financial Aid priority deadline for your school! Filing out and submitting your 2019-20 FAFSA by a school's Institutional priority deadline is the best way to ensure you will be considered for the most federal and state financial aid funds.
