End of Year Testing
Hey families!
As your students gear up for testing, remember — you're their ultimate cheerleaders! Every student has a personal goal to meet in reading and math, and with effort and encouragement, they can achieve it. It's time for them to show what they know as they get ready to move into third grade!
Please continue to support them by making sure they get plenty of rest and arrive at school on time, ready to do their best. Your guidance and positivity make all the difference in helping them shine bright. Together, we’ve got this!
Students participated in Superhero Day to get excited and prepared for the upcoming end-of-year testing in both i-Ready and IStation for Reading and Math. They showed great spirit and determination, ready to tackle their goals like true superheroes!

Ben Alexander Portrait of a Wildcat Chant
Portrait of a Wildcat
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As we enter the final month of the school year, we are proud to celebrate the growth and achievements of our students. For May, our Portrait of a Wildcat focus is Communication—an essential skill that helps students express their ideas clearly, listen actively, and collaborate effectively with others.
Here are some ways you can support communication skills at home:
-
Encourage Conversations: Ask your child about their day and encourage them to share details and feelings, helping them practice organizing their thoughts.
-
Practice Active Listening: Model good listening by giving your full attention, asking follow-up questions, and showing interest in what your child says.
-
Expand Vocabulary: Introduce new words through reading and daily conversations, helping your child find more precise ways to express themselves.
-
Role-Play Situations: Practice conversations your child might have with friends, teachers, or family members to build confidence and social skills.
-
Celebrate All Forms of Communication: Encourage not just speaking, but also writing, drawing, and using body language to express ideas effectively.
Throughout the 2024–2025 school year, our students have been developing the key traits of our Portrait of a Wildcat: communication, confidence, integrity, adaptability, and critical thinking.
Parents and guardians, we encourage you to continue nurturing these important skills over the summer break. With your support, our Wildcats will return ready to start the new school year with pride and purpose!
Thank you for being such an important part of your child's growth and success.
