Winter Semester Test Schedule
Please see the attached Semester Test Schedule for December 18 and 19. Students unable to attend school on Semester Test Days due to family travel will need to make up their semester exams the first three days during the week we return to school (January 7-9). There is not an early testing option for semester tests during the first semester. Teachers finalize grades for first semester on January 10.
Winter Break
Edmond Schools will be out for Winter Break from December 20, 2024 thru January 6, 2025. During the break, there will be construction taking place in some areas of the school; as a result, only students participating in winter sports or activities will be allowed inside the building for practices or events coordinated by their coaches and teachers. School resumes on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Campus Reminders
- Before school, the doors to the building do not unlock for student access until 7:45am. Students dropped off prior to that time will need to wait in the lobby until 7:45.
- At lunch, only Juniors and Seniors are allowed to leave campus. On random check days, any students who cannot show their student IDs will not be allowed to leave campus.
- After school, students need to exit the building in a timely manner and leave campus.
- Students not riding a bus after school may not wait at the bus loop.
- Students waiting for rides after school may wait in the front Welcome Center lobby but should remain seated and respectful during that time.
- Once students leave campus after school, they should not return later in the afternoon or evening unless they are involved in a school activity or attending a school event.
- Students not involved in an after-school activity need to leave campus and may not remain on campus unless waiting in the front Welcome Center lobby for a ride.
- Student-athletes waiting for rides after practice may wait at the site of their practice locations (example: track athletes wait for rides at the fieldhouse).
STUDENTS NOT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE EXPECTATIONS WILL RECEIVE APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINE CONSEQUENCES
Dress Code Expectations
Baseball hats, cowboy hats, wave caps, bandanas, stocking caps, and other headgear are not allowed as part of the daily dress code.
As it gets colder, please remember that while hoodies are okay to wear to school, the hood should not be worn in the hallways or classrooms. The hood part of the hoody covers up a student's ears and keeps a student with earbuds from being able to participate in learning. Classrooms are hoody, headgear, and earbud free zones.
It is a District Rule that cell phones are not allowed to be used during instructional time. A student should not be using a cell phone during class unless the teacher allows it as part of an instructional activity.
