Good evening,

I hope that you had a great week. A full week back was so very nice. I am going to keep my letter short and sweet because I would love for you to check out all of the details below.

A few things to point out:

• Basketball Games - We have 7 home games! Make sure to make your GoFan account and secure your tickets today. Students must have an adult/parent with them for each game.
• PTSA - We had so much fun eating pizza and sharing feedback this week. I learned a lot, and we will be working on sharing that feedback soon. Thank you PTSA for making it happen!
• Student expectations - We will be doing expectation review over the coming weeks. This will be an opportunity to remind our students about school rules, attendance, and grade expectations. More communication coming, but I am hoping that we can finish stronger than we started the year in everything from academics to athletics to the arts!

PTSA Student members recently enjoyed a delightful event called "Pizza with the Principal," where they savored delicious pizza from Star Pizza, cookies, and juice. This gathering allowed students to engage in open conversations with the principal. They shared their thoughts and feedback on a variety of topics, ranging from the quality of cafeteria food to the upcoming 8th-grade dance. This event allowed students to voice their opinions and fostered a sense of community and collaboration between students and school leadership.

Get ready for an exciting season of Titan Basketball! Join us for seven exciting home games, where our talented girls and boys teams will showcase their skills on the court. Tickets are required for entry, but don't worry—admission is free! Tickets are available on GoFan, where you can reserve tickets for the entire season or per game. Please remember our clear bag policy for security, and note that students must be accompanied by an adult. Don’t miss the chance to cheer on our Titans and experience the energy of live basketball!

The Honor Roll Breakfasts will take place on January 28th, 29th, and 30th in the Elkins Pointe Cafeteria. The 6th breakfast will be on Tuesday, January 28th. On Wednesday, January 29th, the 7th grade honor roll students will be celebrated. The 8th grade breakfast will be on Thursday, January 30th.

Schedule:

• Honor roll volunteers are asked to arrive at 8:15 AM
• Breakfast will begin service at 8:30 AM
• Awards will be presented at 8:55 AM.
  • Certificates and chicken biscuits will be handed out together.
  • Students will be called in groups by last name. Parents will be able to take photos of their child in the group, and after the ceremony.

Breakfast:

The PTSA will provide breakfast pastries, juice, and coffee for this event. Our PTSA Business Partner, Town Center Chick-fil-A will gift a chicken biscuit for every honor student. The PTSA will be hosting their General Meeting after the 7th Grade Breakfast on Wednesday, January 29th at 8:40 AM. All PTSA members are invited. Please help the PTSA to fulfill their requirements, so they can continue to host Honor Roll breakfasts for our school.

Invitations:

The Admin team will be sending invitations to parent emails after report cards have been distributed. Students and their parents are invited to attend the Honor Roll Breakfast.

Elkins Pointe Honor Roll Criteria:

• Superior Honor Roll: Students earning all As, including Connections, are placed on the Superior Honor Roll.

• Excellent Honor Roll: Students earning all As and Bs, with at least one A in an academic subject (Math, Social Studies, Science, ELA, World Language/Reading), are placed on the Excellent Honor Roll.
