Broadwater Bulletin
May 4, 2025
From the Principal
Hello Broadwater Families,
I can't believe it is May! I hope you had a great "longer" weekend. The weather was beautiful and the parade was fantastic!
It is Teacher Appreciation Week and at Broadwater we have some of the best. Besides celebrating the staff we will also have some fun spirit days:
Monday- reversal day: Students dress like teachers, teachers dress like students
Tuesday-Wear your teacher's favorite color (ask them, if you forget mine is pink)
Wednesday- denim and Cub shirts
Thursday-wear your teacher favorite team colors (like blue and gold)
Friday- comfy clothes, pajamas
Spirit days are always optional!
Running club continues every Thursday afternoon at recess. Thank you to the volunteers for the music, bubble and cheering.
Lots of events are happening, please see the events at the end of this newsletter and don't forget to read all of your student's communications from their teacher.
It is a B Week.
And as always, it is a great day to be a Cub!
Ms. Boedecker
For the safety of our students, please keep all dogs off the playground.
ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT
Did you know?
- Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade.
- When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating.
KinderSprouts
KinderSprouts is a free, full day (Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.) early literacy program for 4-year-old students. It is a fun, hands-on program for our littlest learners. The program is designed around caring relationships, hands-on activities and interactive play to help children develop the learning skills they need for a solid start to Kindergarten and beyond.
Screening for the program will begin on February 24, 2025. If you feel your child would benefit from early literacy support use this web address: https://helenaschools.org/kindersprouts2025/ to schedule an appointment.
