October is a busy month!
October is packed full of "big" events. Gorilla Pride Week is the week of October 7th with an Early Dismissal @ 12:45 on Thursday, October 10th for the Campus HS Homecoming Parade (buses will run at 12:45pm) and NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 11th for the end of the 1st Nine weeks. Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday October 14th and Wednesday, October 16th from 3:15pm to 7:45pm. There is NO SCHOOL on Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th for Conference Release Days. Report cards will be sent home with students on Monday, October 14th. We encourage you to log into your Parent Powerschool Account and check your child's grades. If your child has any missing work it is not too late for them to turn it in to improve their current grade. Thank you for your continued support of your child's academic success!

To sign up for conferences you will click on the link below and and choose your child's/childrens' teacher(s) that you want to conference with. You will be prompted to select the dates and times.

Fine Arts Concerts
*Band & Orchestra - The 7th and 8th grade band and orchestra students will present a concert on October 8 at 7:00pm at HWMS. Each group will be performing a combination of old and new music. As an added bonus, all students will perform the Gorilla Fight Song together at the end. Hope to see you there!
*Vocal Music - The HWMS Fall Choir Concert will be at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 24. This concert will have an Olympics theme - with music, readings, and decorations all related to the 5 Olympic rings. A reminder letter with details for parents will be sent home with choir students one week prior to the concert.
Gorilla Winter Sports Season I
All student athletes must have a current Physical/Concussion form uploaded into Rank One before they can try-out or participate in any practices.
