Dear Bellevue Community,
Happy New Year! I hope each of you enjoyed a restful holiday season with your loved ones. As we wrap up the first week back, I want to take a moment to share my gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead.
The energy in our schools this week has been incredible. We have classrooms filled with engaged students and hallways buzzing with energy; it’s clear that 2025 is off to a strong start. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible staff and the unwavering support of our families and community members.
As we move into the heart of winter, let’s continue building on this momentum. Whether striving for academic growth, building connections, or celebrating every student's unique talents, I’m confident we can achieve great things together.
Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to making Bellevue schools a place where everyone thrives. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Empowering and Engaging Educators through Effective Practices
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
OPTIMISM: Educators shape futures daily. Often without realizing it. Mickey’s life was changed by a teacher, Ms. Ritchie, who fought to get him his IEP. Ms. Ritchie doesn’t know she changed Mickey’s life or what he is accomplishing now. Every teacher changes students’ lives in ways they never get to see.
FLUENCY: Mickey takes IEPs and IDEA from stressful obligations to fun, easy, and empowering frameworks.
CONFIDENCE: Educators will become confident talking about disability. According to the CDC, 20 – 25% of the population has a disability, so this confidence will make every educator’s life easier daily.

Thank you to our PTO for organizing Santa's Secret Shop. The Santa Secret Shop was a huge success, and it is all thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers who went above and beyond to make it happen. This year’s Santa Secret Shop also made a significant contribution to our 5th-grade camp funds, helping provide opportunities for our students to participate in a memorable and enriching camp experience. Your generosity and hard work have truly made a difference in the lives of our students, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.
- As part of our ongoing district-wide initiative to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance, we are excited to recognize students who have achieved perfect attendance for Quarters One and Two. This initiative highlights the dedication and commitment of our students, who have demonstrated exceptional responsibility by attending school every day and on time.
- Shop with a Hero event: Each student was given a $150 gift card to shop for gifts for their families, providing them with the chance to choose thoughtful presents and experience the joy of giving. In addition to the gifts for the children’s families, participating families were also provided with a Christmas dinner box, ensuring that they could enjoy a festive meal together. We want to extend our heartfelt thank you to the area law enforcement agencies, fire departments, EMU units, and private citizens who generously support and make this event possible every year.
