October 2024

Message from the Principal
Hello SES Families,
We’ve had a busy September here at Springville Elementary, filled with excitement and hard work as we kicked off the 2024-2025 school year. Opening day was wonderful, with students’ smiling faces and excitement to meet their teachers and reconnect with friends in class.
Following opening day, we hosted a successful Parent’s Night. It was a real treat to see families and meet the parents/guardians of our amazing SES students. Students were thrilled to show off their classrooms and introduce their teachers. This event also provided a great opportunity for our community to see the fantastic makeover our school received over the summer.
As we enter October, we have several fun events planned. Picture Day, Bingo for Books, and our Halloween Parade at the end of the month are just a few of the exciting activities. Thank you for continuing to support your learner(s) as we progress through the year. As I’ve mentioned before, our partnership is key to the success of our students.
Enjoy your October!
Best,
Karl Gesing
SES Principal

Income Eligibility Form
Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District is pleased to announce that all students will continue to be provided with nutritious breakfast and lunch in the 2024-25 school year at no cost through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). The CEP designation was made possible by the number of families who reported Income Eligibility. In order to continue this designation, we are requesting all families complete the Income Eligibility form, even if you think you may not qualify. Filling out this form is beneficial for both families and the district.
Benefits include:
Qualifying families for state or federal assistance programs
Qualifying students for waived fees for PSAT, SAT, ACT and some college applications
Dual enrollment courses from Hilbert College at no cost to students
Assisting with the district’s Title I funding that goes toward reading instruction
Assisting with future grant and state/federal aid applications to benefit the district
Allowing for the continuation of the CEP no-cost meal program at SGI
By completing the form, you help ensure our school can provide the best possible support and resources for all students. To access the form, click the link.
Income verification has many benefits beyond CEP eligibility to both your family and the district. We thank you for your consideration!
