The Bobcat Beat - Easter Edition

As we approach a long weekend with no school on Friday, April 18th and Monday, April 21st, we pause to remember the deeper meaning behind these days.

Good Friday calls us into quiet reflection—a time to remember the incredible sacrifice Jesus made by willingly laying down His life for our sins. It is a day marked by solemn gratitude and the weight of God's love poured out for each of us.

But the story doesn’t end there. We rejoice knowing that Easter is just around the corner! On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the victory of the resurrection—hope renewed, life restored, and the promise that through Christ, death has been defeated.

May this Lenten season lead your heart to reflection and joy, as we remember the cross and rejoice in the empty tomb. Blessed Easter to all our BIA families.

🌼 Spring Playdate at BIA – Let’s Gather & Play! 🌼

Join us on Saturday, April 26th for our Spring Playdate—a time for current families and new friends to come together and enjoy a morning of connection and fun!

While this event serves as an Open House for prospective families, it’s also a special opportunity for our BIA community to spend time together. Whether you’re a returning family or someone curious about what makes BIA special, we’d love to see you on the playground.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our BIA families who donated to our recent clothing drive! Because of your generosity, we’re able to send a large collection of clothes to the World Relief Organization, where they’ll go directly to individuals and families in need.

Your kindness helps make the world a little warmer, a little brighter, and a lot more hopeful. We are so proud to be part of a community that cares so deeply. 💛

This week in Chapel, as we journey through Holy Week, we reflected on the powerful moment when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples. During this final week before Easter, we remember how Jesus showed love in action—choosing to serve others, even in the humblest ways.

Though He was their teacher and leader, Jesus knelt down and washed their feet to show what real love and kindness look like. He wanted His disciples—and us—to understand that greatness in God’s kingdom isn’t about being first, but about putting others first.

As we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter Sunday, we’re reminded that Jesus not only served with His hands, but with His whole life. He gave everything for us—and now invites us to follow Him by showing love, kindness, and service in our own lives.

Let’s walk through this Holy Week remembering that even the smallest acts of love can reflect the heart of Jesus.

We'll be serving up professionally prepared tacos, sides, and desserts—so come hungry! Plates are $15 each and include:

📚 Parent Academy Reminder!

We had a great conversation during our first Parent Academy session on March 6th—and guess what? We’re back at it again in just a few weeks!

Join us Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM (from the comfort of your own home via Zoom!) as we dive into The Great Rewiring, covering pages 111–295 of The Anxious Generation.

A big shoutout to our amazing bowlers on completing a fantastic season! From strikes to spares (and even a few gutter balls), you showed determination, teamwork, and Bobcat pride every step of the way.

🦋 Pre-K Spreads Their Wings! 🦋

Our Pre-K students have been learning all about the magical transformation of caterpillars into butterflies! As they explored the stages of metamorphosis, they couldn’t help but wonder—what will their caterpillar friends look like when they grow wings?

To bring this lesson to life, our preschoolers decided to become butterflies themselves! By spreading their own colorful wings, they imagined the beauty and excitement of becoming something new. Hands-on learning never looked so joyful—or so fluttery! 🐛➡️🦋

☀️ Sunshine, Smiles, and First Grade Fun! ☀️

With the weather warming up and the sun shining bright, our students have been making the most of every beautiful day—and no one’s soaking it in more than our 1st graders!

They’ve been heading over to our wonderful community partner, Indian Boundary Park, where they’ve had a blast making memories, running wild, and playing their hearts out. We love seeing them enjoy the outdoors, build friendships, and burn off that springtime energy in the best way! 🌳💛
