🎓 Pre-K Graduation – A Celebration of First Milestones! 🌟
Our tiniest Bobcats are ready to take a big step! This week, we joyfully celebrated our Pre-K Graduation, marking the end of a year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of growth. From mastering their ABCs to building friendships, our Pre-K students have blossomed in every way—and we couldn’t be prouder!
Families gathered to cheer them on as they sang songs, received certificates, and walked across the stage with big smiles and even bigger dreams. It was a sweet and heartfelt reminder that every journey starts with a first step—and our Pre-K grads are more than ready for what’s next.
Congratulations to our amazing Pre-K graduates! The future is bright, and Kindergarten is calling! 🎉🎓🐾
Chapel Recap – Running the Race
This week in Chapel, we were reminded that Jesus calls us to run the race set before us with excitement and purpose! Just like in a real race, our journey through life and faith can have challenges—but when we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can run with joy, energy, and confidence.
We talked about how it's not always about being the fastest or first, but about showing perseverance, encouragement, and faith along the way. Whether you're cheering someone on, helping a friend up, or just keeping your pace—every step matters when you're running God's race.
Let’s keep running strong, Bobcats—with faith in our hearts and joy in our stride! 🏁🐾
🏅 Sports Banquet Recap 🏐🏀
What a night to remember! Our BIA Sports Banquet was a joyful celebration of hard work, teamwork, and true Bobcat spirit as we honored all of our incredible athletes from basketball, bowling, cross country, volleyball, and track & field.
The gym was filled with cheers, laughter, and proud moments as we reflected on a year full of growth, grit, and great memories. From buzzer beaters to photo finishes, each athlete was recognized for their dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment to representing BIA with pride.
A special congratulations goes out to our standout award winners:
🏆 Sportsmanship Award Winners
Zoe M. and Jacob Y. – for always leading with humility, encouragement, and grace, showing what true character looks like in competition.
🏆 Athletes of the Year
Zara L. and Jacob W. – for their exceptional talent, leadership, and performance throughout the year across multiple sports.
A big thank you to all the families, coaches, and volunteers who helped make this athletic season so special—and most importantly, to our student-athletes who gave it their all, every game, every practice, and every meet.
Way to go, Bobcats—you’ve earned this celebration! 🐾🎊🏀🎳🏐🏃♀️
🌱 BIA Service Day – Coming May 28th! 👐
Our Bobcats are gearing up to make a difference! On Wednesday, May 28th, our 1st–8th graders will take part in our Annual BIA Service Day by heading to Vineyard Church (2495 Howard Street) to serve our community.
Students will roll up their sleeves and work together to:
🌿 Care for the community vegetable garden
👕 Sort clothing for the charitable clothing "store"
🥫 Pack food for families in need
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and we are looking for parent drivers with minivans or larger vehicles to help transport students safely. If you are available and willing to assist, please contact Cali in the main office as soon as possible.
Let’s show our community what BIA hearts and hands can do! 🐾💛
📚 Title 1 Services & Summer Tutoring Opportunity 📚
At BIA, our Title 1 services provide students with the opportunity to expand their academic knowledge through small group, guided support. This extra layer of learning helps build confidence, strengthen skills, and give students the tools they need to succeed.
We’re excited to share that Mr. John Hayford, our Title 1 teacher, will be offering summer tutoring for interested families! This is a great way to keep your child learning and growing during the summer months.
To learn more or schedule a session, simply email Mr. Hayford at
John.Hayford@catapultlearning.com.
Let’s keep those learning muscles strong all summer long! 💪📖

🎶 BIA Students Shine in Music Specials Performance! 🎤🎵
This week, our hallways were filled with harmony as students from every grade level shared the songs they’ve been practicing during their Music Specials class! From joyful melodies to catchy rhythms, each performance was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and musical growth.
Our students worked hard over the past several weeks to learn lyrics, rhythms, and even some choreography—and their dedication truly paid off. With smiles on their faces and confidence in their voices, they reminded us all of the joy that music brings to our community.
Bravo to our talented performers! You filled our school with music, heart, and a whole lot of Bobcat pride! 🐾🎼👏
🌱 First Grade Digs into Gardening! 🌼
Our 1st graders have been getting their hands dirty—in the best way possible—as part of their exciting garden unit! From roots to flowers, they’ve been learning all about plants: what they need to grow, how they help our world, and why they’re so important to our everyday lives.
With curiosity and care, students explored plant life cycles, identified parts of a plant, and even began observing how seeds sprout and grow. Whether it’s drawing diagrams or checking in on their classroom garden, these young botanists are blooming with knowledge!
Way to grow, 1st grade! Your green thumbs and growing minds are making learning come to life! 🌿📚💚
👀 A New Perspective from 2nd & 3rd Grade! ✏️🌍
Our 2nd and 3rd graders have been exploring the world through a very special lens—their own! As part of a creative writing activity, students were encouraged to reflect and write about the things they see and experience from their unique point of view.
From noticing small details in nature to imagining big adventures in their neighborhoods, their writing showed us that sometimes the most powerful stories come from simply seeing the world a little differently.
With thoughtfulness, humor, and creativity, they reminded us that every person has a story worth telling—and every perspective brings something new to the table.
Way to go, young authors! Keep seeing the world with wonder! 🌈📖🐾
🎨 3rd & 4th Graders Show Off Their Artistic Side! 🖼️✨
Our talented 3rd and 4th graders have been busy creating masterpieces all year long—and this week, they finally got to show off their amazing art portfolios! From colorful paintings to imaginative sketches, each piece reflected their growth, creativity, and unique perspective as young artists.
Students proudly shared their work with classmates, teachers, and families, walking us through the inspiration behind each project. It was more than just an art display—it was a celebration of their hard work, passion, and ability to express themselves through color and creativity.
Way to go, artists! Your creativity lit up the room and reminded us that at BIA, the arts are alive and thriving! 🎨🐾

🎂 Shouting Out Our Summer Birthdays! ☀️🎉
Having a summer birthday is amazing—sunshine, pool parties, and popsicles—but we know it can be a little tough when it comes to celebrating at school.
