This week is our annual Book Fair in the library. Students had a chance to preview on Friday and will have a chance to purchase books this week during lunch or after school. Additionally, our book fair will be open on Thursday evening during our Read Across America celebration.

In addition to our celebration on Thursday evening, we are lucky to have Lodi Unified Board Members and our City of Lodi Mayor joining us on Monday to read in classrooms. We can't wait!

On Thursday all 172 (73%) students who met their trimester 2 Accelerated Reading (AR) goal taped me to the wall. We had so much fun celebrating their hard work! Next trimester we are hoping to have 80% of our readers meet their goal so Mrs. Carter gets to participate too. I can't wait to see what they decide the inventive should be.

Please remind your child that it is important to make sure they are following our PBIS expectations on the playground. Ask them about what they do at recess and how they ensure their safety along with others safety while playing that game.
