LIS Tiger Talk
October 20, 2023
Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
Although the weather forced us to go to 'Plan C', our 6th graders were still able to participate in Walk for Water activities throughout the day. A big shout out to Mrs. Kirby and our 6th grade teachers planned an exciting day. Their work over the past 10 years to raise money to drill wells in the South Sudan is nothing short of amazing.
First quarter report cards are available to view in Tigerparent.me under 'File Attachments' on the right side when you scroll down. Look for '23-24 First Quarter Report Card' then click on the eye to the right. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student's teachers.
Hard to believe it's almost Halloween, which means I'm starting to get some questions from students. Yes, students and staff can wear their Halloween costumes to school on Tuesday, October 31st. Please avoid bloody, gory, scary costumes. Masks and inflatables will only be allowed during Tiger Time, then students will be asked to put it in their lockers. No weapons of any kind. Our Tiger Brain Trust is planning a costume contest during Tiger Time. Best Costume Awards will be given for each homeroom and grade level.
Have a great weekend! Go Tigers!
