Beginning Monday, August 26th, there will be one day a week that parents can sign up, in advance. Please include your child in the number of people you are signing up. • Parents must be on time for their child’s scheduled lunch time. • Parents must communicate with their child’s teacher that they will be coming to lunch on that day. • Parents must sign in at the front office and will be escorted to Center Court and supervised if they are not a registered volunteer. Registered volunteers do not need to be escorted or supervised during their lunch in Center Court. • Parents may only have lunch with their child. • We strongly suggest that younger siblings stay home as we will have limited seating available. • Please be mindful of time, your child will need to report back to the cafeteria before the end of their lunch period. Parents will sign out in the front office.

What better way to start your day than a scenic run around Lake Gemini!

Every student at Gemini is signed up for this awesome free before school program. Come and meet your friends to run or walk around the field. 5 laps to a mile with a special necklace and shoe charm recognizing every 5 miles. 100 milers and more will run a victory lap and get a t-shirt! Parents and siblings are welcome to come participate with the students. You can show up anytime 7:15am until the first bell.

Anyone looking for some extra miles can participate in the Run Brevard race series. Be sure to select Team Gemini Elementary and you can help us win money to support the Morning Mile. We won $250 for a third place school finish last year and $500 for a second place finish the previous year. The Ghostly Gecko 5k takes place this Saturday October 19. For each race participated in you will earn 25 laps / 5 miles.

Hoover Middle School's NJHS students are doing a haunted house again this year! It will be on October 25, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. It is 100% appropriate for little ones, our "actors" will adjust to their level. We will have an age-appropriate movie playing in the cafeteria and carnival-like games on the bricks (inside our school). Around 7 pm we will have a costume contest, divided by grade level: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 with prizes. We will judge on creativity! Concession will be sold as well. All proceeds will be used to pay and distribute Thanksgiving meals for students on free and reduced lunch.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. No students from other schools will be allowed to attend without adult supervision.
