SAT Day
We are excited to announce our annual SAT Day, taking place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The SAT is a key exam used by many colleges and universities to determine admissions, and it also opens up scholarship opportunities for students who perform well. More than just a test, it's a chance for students to get a sense of their college readiness.
On SAT Day, all students will be taking a version of the SAT that’s tailored to their grade level:
- 9th Graders: Digital PSAT 8/9
- 10th Graders: Digital PSAT/NMSQT
- 11th Graders: Digital PSAT/NMSQT
- 12th Graders: Digital SAT
Please check your email to see where your testing location will be.
Please note: ALL students will be released early at 12:34 PM on Wednesday, October 9th.
We look forward to a successful SAT Day and are here to support our students every step of the way!

Fifty-eight of our students attended the CSU (Cal State University) College Night at the Pasadena Convention Center. Students had the opportunity to see all 23 Cal States in attendance, ask questions from college representatives, and attend CSU related application and financial aid workshops. Special shout out to Ms. King, Mrs. Perez, and Mr. Grant for your willingness to chaperone this Tuesday night evening field trip!
Counseling Corner
This week, our counselors had the opportunity to present the second portion of their Senior Presentation in all Senior Government classes. During the presentation, we covered critical information regarding CSU (California State University), UC (University of California), and Private Universities. Seniors, be sure to follow up with your counselor if you have any further questions about applications, deadlines, or admissions requirements! Also, please take a moment to further explore college and career tools on Naviance.
A big thank you to all the families who attended our College Information Night on Wednesday! Your participation and engagement were truly appreciated. For those who couldn’t make it, the full presentation (including Spanish slides) is linked below. This resource covers all the essential information on preparing for college admissions, financial aid, and more. Be on the lookout for college application workshops in the coming weeks.
Lastly, we are excited to remind students and families about the upcoming 2024 Covina-Valley Unified School District College Fair on October 22! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of colleges and universities, ask questions, and gather information to help you make informed decisions about your future.
