School Fees Survey Feedback
Thank you to all the families who completed our fees survey! Your feedback is greatly appreciated and helps guide our decisions for the 2025-26 school year.
Key Takeaways from the Survey
✔️ Most families are satisfied with the number of field trips and support a fee increase to maintain these opportunities.
✔️ The majority believe noon supervision fees are fair and should remain the same.
✔️ 75% of respondents value Grade 5 swimming lessons and want them to continue.
✔️ 87.5% are willing to pay higher fees for more/enhanced field trips.
Our Plan for our 2025-26 School Fees
🔹 We plan to implement a marginal increase in field trip fees to cover potential busing cost and admission rate increases.
🔹 We plan to increase our noon supervision fees (Grades 1-6) from $90 to $110 per student to reflect inflation, classified staff pay adjustments, and alignment with neighbouring schools.
🔹 The cost of extra-curricular activities will now be clearly outlined but only apply to students who choose to participate.
🔹 Schools operate on a cost recovery basis and are non-profit.
🔹 Preview the 2025-26 School Fee Schedule by clicking on the link.

Celebrating Kindness & Inclusion – Pink Shirt Day
On February 26, we proudly took part in Pink Shirt Day, a special day dedicated to spreading kindness, inclusion, and respect. Throughout the week, our students engaged in classroom presentations, storybooks, videos, and thoughtful discussions, all centered around the power of kindness.
But kindness isn’t just for one day—it starts with us, every day! Research shows that our brains are actually wired for kindness and compassion, meaning that small acts of kindness can have a big impact on those around us.
Want to learn more? Check out the video below on the science behind kindness and how it shapes our world.
Let’s continue to encourage kindness in our classrooms, homes, and community—because together, we can make a difference! 🌎💖 #BeKind #PinkShirtDay
Live Owl Presentation
On March 18 and 19, our Kindergarten and Grade 1 and 2 classes will take part in a special educational presentation hosted by the Beaverhill Bird Observatory (www.beaverhillbirds.com).
The presentation will provide students with an opportunity to learn about local bird species, their habitats, and the importance of conservation efforts. Beaverhill Bird Observatory's experts will share fascinating insights and encourage students to appreciate the natural world around them.
As this event involves a live owl, we want to ensure the health and safety of all students. Please notify your child’s classroom teacher by March 10 if your child has any allergies, asthma, or other health conditions that may require accommodations during the presentation.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the school at 780-464-3330. We look forward to providing this engaging and interactive experience for our students.
