Get Active and Join the Brookwood ES Running Club!
Calling all 4th and 5th graders who love to run and be outdoors! The Brookwood ES Running Club is kicking off this fall, and it's a fantastic way to boost your fitness and have fun with classmates.
Here's what you can expect:
- Improve your running: Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, the club will help you build stamina and increase your running distance. We aim to run/jog for 30-40 minutes per practice.
- Focus on fun, not speed: Everyone is welcome, regardless of your running pace. We encourage you to comfortably jog at least two laps on the track, and then we'll gradually increase the distance each week. Our ultimate goal? To conquer a 1-mile run by the end of the club!
- Try it out first: Not sure if Running Club is right for you? Join us for a special "Come Run With Us" event on Tuesday, September 3rd, from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM. This is a great chance to experience what the club is all about and ask any questions you might have. Please note this is the only chance to try running club before joining, so plan to attend if you're interested!
Important details:
Who can join: Open to 4th and 5th graders
Cost: $30 (includes a club t-shirt, medal, and certificate)
