OMS Family Newsletter
Dear OMS families
As we reach the end of this extraordinary school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey and express my deepest gratitude to our wonderful community.
This year has been filled with growth, challenges, and many triumphs. Our students have demonstrated incredible resilience and adaptability, tackling new learning environments and overcoming obstacles with determination and grace. Our students have made us proud every step of the way.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment and hard work. Your passion for education and genuine care for our students have created a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
To our parents and guardians, your support and involvement have been invaluable. Thank you for being our partners in education and for fostering a sense of community that enriches the lives of our students.
As we prepare for a well-deserved summer break, I encourage everyone to take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with loved ones. For our graduating 8th grade students, congratulations on reaching this significant milestone. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and know you will continue to shine brightly.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another exciting and successful school year. Until then, have a wonderful and safe summer!
With gratitude and warmest regards,

Community Resources
Summer EBT Benefits
The S-EBT is a federally funded program that provides families of qualified school-aged children $40 per month during the summer months to purchase healthy foods while school is not in session. SPPS in-person students who qualify for free or reduced eligibility will qualify for Summer EBT benefits. SPPS online students who are directly certified for free or reduced eligibility will also qualify.
It is critical that the primary parent/guardian contact info in Campus is up to date to ensure that S-EBT benefits are received at the beginning of summer. Parents/guardians will be instructed to reach out to their school’s main office if any updates are needed.
If a student does not currently qualify for free or reduced eligibility, parents/guardians are encouraged to complete the Application for Educational Benefits to see if they qualify.
More info will be shared at spps.org/summerebt, including updates as more info about the program is available from the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
