Math
In Math, we will begin part two of our Geometry Unit! In this Unit, we will use protractors to determine the approximate measure of an angle, draw angles with a given measure, and determine the measure of an unknown angle formed by 2 adjacent angles.
Science & Social Studies
In Science we will continue learning about producers and consumers as well as food webs.
In Social Studies we are continuing the unit on "Settling the Frontier". Students will learn about the development of the cattle industry in Texas and the expansion of railroads. Students will also learn about how the settlement of the Texas frontier impacted the lives of American Indians in Texas. Students will be coming up with their own cattle brand and planning out their own cattle drive scenario.
Reading
This week in ELAR, we will be honing in on our writing skills during Writing Camp! This is an exciting week for our students to get to focus their attention on writing and becoming an even better writer.

Chaperones will need provide their own transportation and pay for their own ticket(s), but all 4th graders must ride the bus. The museum is $12 per chaperone and $7 for the movie. Payment for chaperones will be taken at the museum. Please make arrangements for any younger children/siblings as we are not able to accommodate for them.
*Note: It is not necessary that chaperones join us for the movie, so a ticket may not be needed for that.
What: Students will be taking a tour of the first three floors of the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and attending the Texas Spirit Theater featuring “Shipwrecked”.
Cost: The cost for students is $5 for the museum and the movie. Please send cash only. It is extremely difficult for us to make change, so we ask that you send in the correct amount.
*If you would like to send in any additional money to sponsor another student, it would be greatly appreciated.
What to wear: Tennis shoes and weather appropriate clothes. It would be nice if students are able to wear a Liberty Hill, or purple shirt if possible.
What to bring: Sack lunch & a drink (bottled water is preferred-no sodas please). If your child will need a sack lunch from the cafeteria, please fill out the attached form and return to school.
