What a fantastic week we've had! Our students had an absolute blast running through the obstacle course, spreading kindness, and sharing valentines. Thank you to our amazing community for making it all possible!
Enjoy the long weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday, refreshed and ready for another great week!

UIL Academics Westwood Vertical Learning Community Champions!
Spicewood Wins 1st Place at UIL Academic Meet! 🏆
We are thrilled to announce that Spicewood Elementary won 1st place and brought home the Sweepstakes Trophy at the UIL Academic Meet! Our talented students competed in a variety of events, including Number Sense, Chess, Ready Writing, Storytelling, and more, demonstrating incredible skill and dedication.
As the top-scoring elementary school in the Westwood Vertical Learning Community, our students have made us so proud with their hard work and perseverance.
A huge congratulations to all our participants and a special thank you to our coaches, teachers, and families for their support! Way to go, Spicewood Panthers! ⭐🏆👏

We are pleased to present the results from the RRISD Council level round of judging for the Reflections program. Students that received an "Award of Excellence" from the SWES round of judging advanced to the RRISD Council level round.

Destination Imagination
Spicewood Shines at Destination Imagination Regionals!
This past Saturday, two teams from Spicewood Elementary showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills at the Destination Imagination Regional Tournament!
Our competitive team, Eaty Aliens, earned 2nd place in the Scientific Challenge, securing a spot at the State Finals in March in Arlington, TX! Congratulations to team members Krishna B, Tanush D, Ayan S, Anjali I, and Sucheth M for their outstanding achievement!
Our non-competitive K-2 teams also impressed the judges with their imaginative storytelling about weather, proudly sharing their creative ideas on stage. Great job to Betty A, Reagan M, Sofia G, Ashwin S, Diego C, Ella H, Evelyn M, Brennan H, and Pragadh S for their fantastic performances!
A huge thank you to Ms. Mitchell, our dedicated DI sponsor, and the PTA for making this opportunity possible.

Hello! I just wanted to reach out again to say THANK YOU so much for all of the sweet cards, notes, drawings, and gifts I received from parents and students last week for counselor appreciation week. I felt so much love and support from this amazing community and I am so lucky to be a part of it!

STEAM Day 2025!

In preparation for STEAM Day, our committee has created a website of information and to gather volunteers. It takes help in all different ways to facilitate this fun day of learning for our students. We would love to have your help on this day!

APEX Wrap-Up
On behalf of the PTA and Spicewood Staff, I want to give a big thank you to all our community for your support with this fundraiser! We have been blown away by the willingness to participate to help all students at Spicewood.
The students had a great time in the leadership lessons and participating in the challenges, rewards, and of course the obstacle course today.
