News for families of Margarita Middle School
Message from the Principal
Hello Mustang Families!
Welcome to October at Margarita Middle School.
It is a great day at Margarita when scholars are HERE! Mustang Scholars are on time, in class, and ready to learn EVERY DAY. Attendance matters in middle school as it is a lifeskill that will help in high school, college, and the workforce. Be here everyday, we recognize scholars for Positive Attendance.
- An excellent next step as we prepare for 9 week progress reports and Parent Conferences on 10/17 is to use this short video HERE to pair Parent Canvas to your scholar's Canvas account. This is a terrific way to partner with us in learning and be a support to your scholar.
- Scholars are expected to complete weekly iReady lessons. Learn more about how to check their current learning path below.
- A quick update on STEP IT UP! We celebrated an amazing Week of WOW! Get or stay involved here: http://www.stepitupkids.com/Margarita92591.
Thank you for your help in making the Margarita Family so great!
Sincerely,
Mr. Duane Legg
Principal, MMS

Help us meet out annual fundraising goal!
We are thrilled to partner with “STEP IT UP” for our school’s fundraiser! This week was an amazing Week of WOW!
Why are we doing this fundraiser? While our basics are covered, we need to pay for the EXTRA THINGS that help your student have an amazing experience at our school. Take Action -- We are asking YOU to help us close that funding gap!

Curious about your scholar's iReady diagnostic score?
The primary function of the i-Ready Diagnostic assessments are to make instructional recommendations and placement decisions for students performing at different levels from Grades K–12. One important way this is done is through the Diagnostic’s grade-level placements.
Student 5-Star points check!
5 STAR
Did you know that your scholar earns points for participating in school events and being Mustang STRONG. They can spend their points at our student store!
Check your scholar's points at the link below, using their student ID number.
