Cocoa High School Tigers Roar into State Championship for Third Consecutive Year
Cocoa, FL - In what has become a thrilling tradition, the Cocoa High School football team is gearing up for their third consecutive appearance in the state championship football game. The Tigers are set to clash with Bradford in tonight's Class 2S showdown in Tallahassee, Florida, with hopes of securing another glorious victory.
Last year, the Tigers triumphed in the state championship, and the anticipation for a repeat victory has the entire community buzzing with excitement. The team's stellar performance over the past three years has ignited a palpable sense of pride among Cocoa residents, and the rallying cry for another championship is echoing through the streets.
The community came together on Thursday morning to show their support for the team, with a spirited pep rally, reminiscent of the Tigers' triumphant send-off last year. The event was a dynamic display of school spirit, as students and staff united to boost the morale of the football players. Cheers, chants, and the school band resonated through the gymnasium, setting the stage for an unforgettable departure.
As the excitement reached a fever pitch, the entire high school population gathered to bid farewell to their gridiron heroes. The sight of the student body decked out in the school colors, donning Tiger pride gear was a testament to the unbreakable bond between the team and its fans.
The grand send-off didn't end there, however, as the Tigers, on their journey to the state championship, made a heartwarming stop at Saturn Elementary School. The young students, wide-eyed and full of admiration, lined the courtyard to catch a glimpse of their hometown heroes. The football players, now seasoned champions, shared excitement and high-fives with the future Tigers, leaving an indelible mark on the young minds.
Head Coach Ryan Schneider expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community. "It’s all about the community.”
As the Cocoa High School Tigers embark on their journey to the state championship game, the entire community stands united, painting the town orange and black. The echoes of cheers and the fervent hope for another victory will undoubtedly accompany the Tigers as they aim to etch their names in the annals of Florida high school football history for the third consecutive year!
Go Tigers and good luck!
For the first time in Cocoa Football history, the Tigers finished as the #1 ranked football team in the State of Florida regardless of classification. This achievement is both historic and monumental!
