We have a busy fall at Shady Shores! Please see below for the future fall school holidays and family events. All grade level open house and program nights are in the evenings from 6-7 pm. Our family nights are from 5:30-7:00 pm. Our Grandparents Day Programs are an opportunity for students’ grandparents and family members to join us for a special performance by our students during the school day. More information is coming soon!

Thank you for supporting SSE through our Big Kahuna fundraiser! This is our one and only school fundraiser for the year. All funds that are raised are designated to be only used for our students. All of our celebrations, student recognitions, and Leader in Me program are just some ways that we use these funds. Currently, our amazing school community has raised $10,828 just this week.

The mobile food bank hosted by We Are 1 is back in Lake Cities at Corinth Elementary on Sept. 14!

Our school-wide Big Kahuna Fundraiser kicked off on Tuesday, September 3rd. All paper order forms will be due on Tuesday, September 23rd. You do not have to turn in anything for online orders. This is our one and only school fundraiser for the year. It helps provide many things for our students on campus, including technology, recess equipment, and fun activities for celebrating their academic successes throughout the year.

Items will be delivered to SSE on Wednesday, October 9, from 1:00-5:00 pm

September 16-20 is Homecoming week in Lake Dallas ISD! Be sure to check out the themed days and Homecoming activities planned for the week. Go Falcons!

During the week of Homecoming, each day will have its own dress-up theme, with all campuses participating:

• Monday, 9/16: How about Hollywood? - Dress as your favorite star
• Tuesday, 9/17: Falcons day abroad - Tacky tourist day
• Wednesday, 9/18: Northern lights shine bright!- Wear neon and bright colors
• Thursday, 9/19: Jungle mania- Wear jungle attire and animal print
• Friday, 9/20: No place like home! - Wear GREEN!

The official Attendance Time for students to be counted as present for the day is 9:30am. Students must be on campus by or before 9:30. The exception is if student's walk in with a doctor's note from the morning. Thank you for your continued support of making sure our students are at school and on time!

We LOVE having dads, grandpas, uncles, etc... at SSE during our day! To be a WATCH D.O.G.S., you can volunteer many times or even just 1 day. We appreciate extra help in our car line in the mornings and at lunch. Or volunteer on your child's birthday and make their day extra special!
