Douglas County Says YES to 5A!
THANK YOU Douglas County voters for saying yes to ballot initiative 5A! This means our teachers and staff will receive salary increases that will make their pay more competitive with surrounding school districts. In addition, DCSD will be able to enhance security staffing in our schools. The passage of 5A is a HUGE celebration for our district, our staff, and our students! The support that we have seen from our community has been amazing, especially considering the tax environment we were contending with. One thing is clear - our community is behind our schools and our staff and we are incredibly grateful.

8th Grade Career Expo
Nearly 2,000 students from across our school district attended the 13th annual 8th Grade Career Expo at the DCSD Legacy Campus on November 10. This event, hosted by the Foundation for Douglas County Schools, provides 8th-grade students the opportunity to visit with over 40+ employers and explore possible career pathways. Students were able to ask questions, experience hands-on demonstrations, and discover possible career opportunities.
