ROCORI Secondary School Update
August 16, 2024
ROCORI FAMILIES:
On September 25th ROCORI will have our first late start of the year. This means that classes will simply begin one hour late with a start time of 9:10 in RHS and 9:15 in RMS. Bussing will be adjusted by one hour to accommodate the schedule change. If you intend to drop off your student prior to 8:30 am, we will welcome them in our building and provide some spaces for students to be supervised. To effectively plan for staffing needs please complete the below form only if you intend to drop off prior to 8:30 am. If there are other circumstances we need to be aware of please let us know by sending an email to Jake Nelson for RMS or Emily Peterson for RHS. We greatly appreciate this time for staff to align curriculum and use data to improve instruction for students.

PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS ON GOFAN!
As we make the transition to digital tickets, here are some helpful hints and tips to make your life easier if you haven't done digital ticketing before:
1. Download the GoFan App onto your phone. The app looks like the picture posted above.
2. Create an account with your email and personal password
3. It will have you search for your favorite team - type in Rocori
This will be your new home to get season passes, buy tickets to all game, both home and away, etc.
When you get to the game, open up the app and click on tickets. There you show the gate attendant your ticket.
Thanks for your patience as we make this adjustment in the Central Lakes Conference to have all our teams using the same system.

DISTRICT CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Parents, Business Leaders, and Other Interested Community Members:
ROCORI Schools would like to invite parents, business leaders, and community members to participate in our district’s curriculum and instruction advisory committee. This committee will meet 3-4 times per year to review district goals, curriculum standards and resource recommendations, and district-level assessment information. We are asking for a commitment to this committee that will last for 3 years. Meetings would occur in the evening and last about 90 minutes each time. We hope to create a committee of about 7-10 people. If you are interested, please complete this linked survey by Monday, September 16th. Completion of the survey is not a guarantee of membership on the committee.
PARKING LOT
NO LEFT TURNS
Reminder: There are no left turns out of the parking lot onto County Road 2. Citations will be issued.
PARKING PERMITS
All vehicles parked in the ROCORI Parking lots must now have a parking permit displayed at all times. Citations will be issued for cars without them after September 13th. The parking permit application is available online in Skyward or a paper copy can be picked up in the office. If you complete this form and pay online, you must still come to the office and pick up your permit.
ROCORI WAY TEAM
ROCORI Secondary’s ROCORI Way Team meets monthly to ensure quality implementation of PBIS (positive behavior interventions and supports). One way we evaluate our system is by completing an inventory called the TFI and comparing our results to previous years. When in the initial rollout of PBIS, this inventory is completed several times throughout the year. The results not only reflect our implementation of PBIS but also our training of new staff that join the team. As you can see by the attached visual we continue to learn and grow into our implementation over time at both RHS and RMS.
