We will be conducting our winter ALICE drill on the week of February 24. On Monday when we return from break, we will be reviewing our drill protocols with our students. The Chelmsford Police and Fire Departments support our drills as we present the information and practice in a developmentally appropriate way.

It is hard to believe we are in the beginning stages of our MCAS administratration planning. We will be providing more information in the coming weeks for 3rd and 4th grade families but wanted to share our testing dates in advance.

Grade 3 Testing:

ELA- Monday 4/7, Tues. 4/8

Math- Wednesday 5/14, Thursday May 5/14

Grade 4 Testing:

ELA- Wednesday 4/9, Thursday 4/10,

Math- Monday 5/12, Tuesday 5/13

Every school year our BSA awards a Byam graduating senior with the BSA Senior Scholarship Award. Please help spread the word if you know of any Byam graduating seniors who would like to apply. The application and more information is below.

February 28 is Rare Disease Day. We are encouraging our Byam community to join our support by wearing stripes on Friday. For more information you can visit https://www.rarediseaseday.org.

Congratulations to the six Byam students whose artwork was selected for the Chelmsford K-12 Youth Art Month exhibition at the Chelmsford Public Library! The “Grand Opening” of the exhibit will take place on Wednesday, March 5 between 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Library. Art teachers from all schools will also be there to meet and congratulate the artists, and refreshments will be provided.

Hey all! Happy New Year! We are so excited to start planning the 2025 Byams Got Talent Show (formerly Hootenanny)! This year will be "Lights, Camera, Action!" If your child is interested in signing up for the show please fill out the registration google form. If your child is in 4th grade and would like to be an Emcee this year please let us know through the google form as well. There will only be room for roughly 10 Emcees so let us know ASAP!

If you have done the talent show in the past things may be a bit different, so if you have questions just ask! We won't be doing a zoom audition so please send as much information as possible about your child's act on the google form. We do need the acts to be under 3 minutes long and any music needs to be sent to this email as an MP3 as it gets closer to the show.

No stage experience necessary, we want ALL kids to feel welcome and excited to join the show!

Please submit your child's registration NO LATER than FEBRUARY 14th to guarantee their spot in the show!

We have also attached the information to submit advertisements to the program! If you have been to the show before you may have seen them in the program as well as running in the slide show before the show! If you are interested in submitting an advertisement to the program please fill out and submit the ad to shannflann@gmail.com. Also, if you would like to ask any local companies to do so we would LOVE their support!
