Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
It's hard to believe October is just around the corner. Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTA meeting. We appreciate the dedication of our PTA board and Room Reps in supporting our students. Our Halloween procedures will be shared next week. Enjoy a wonderful weekend!
As always, please email me with any questions, concerns or feedback.
Warmly,
Michelle LaCamera
Kimball Hill Principal
School-Wide Monthly Celebrations
To cultivate a positive school environment and promote student achievement, we will continue to implement a comprehensive behavior and reward system.
Paws: Staff will award Paws to students who demonstrate exceptional behavior.
Monthly Store Cart: A store cart will be available for students to redeem their Paws for various trinket items.
Cougar Rallies: Monthly assemblies will celebrate exemplary whole-class behavior, attendance, and overall school achievements. These rallies will recognize classrooms for their contributions to our school community. Selected classrooms will receive a trophy to display for the month.
Monthly Behavior Celebrations: Celebrations will be organized based on goals set by the school's Climate & Culture Team. If the school meets these behavioral targets, students will be rewarded with a special celebration, ideas generated by 5th-grade students.
Birthday Celebrations
As a reminder, according to our district policy, birthday treats must be non-food items. If you wish to celebrate your child's birthday, and are in need of ideas, you can explore the potential non-food celebration ideas available on the district website. Visit Birthday Celebration Ideas (English) (Spanish) for more information. We understand your desire to make your child's birthday extra special, but the front office staff is unable to accept food items for classroom distribution due to district policy restrictions. Please remind your child to visit the Principal for a birthday pencil and sticker!
Go Guardian- Monitor Your Child's School Technology
Please click on the link below to access a new app that offers a comprehensive view of your children's online activity on school-managed devices and accounts. This includes a detailed list of the apps, extensions, documents, and websites your student has visited. Additionally, the app provides you with a set of internet controls that you can customize for out-of-school hours.

News From Nurse Franco
All medication must be delivered directly to our school nurse. Front office staff and administrators are no longer authorized to handle medications. The medication forms require that a parent or guardian personally deliver the medication to the nurse, which is a critical component of our district medication protocol. The nurse will verify the student's name, medication name, dosage, expiration dates, and quantity with the parent or guardian. This process ensures accuracy and helps prevent medication errors within the school environment. If you need to drop off medication, please coordinate a time with the nurse to ensure they are present in the building. We want to avoid unnecessary trips to school when the nurse is unavailable.
Drop Off and Pick Up
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all parents and grandparents who have been following the revised drop-off and pick-up procedures. Your cooperation has made the process run smoothly, and we've received numerous positive comments. We appreciate your continued support.
