SEL CORNER
Theme: Goals & Strengths
❥INTRODUCING STUDENTS' STRENGTHS: There are eight ways to be smart; reading and writing, math and logic, spatial (art, drawing and building), movement, music, interpersonal, self-smart and nature smart. Which one are you? Think about how you'd like to improve on one of these areas..
❥DISCOVERING STRENGTHS - Linguistic Ability: This one focuses on reading and writing. Think about the things you do in school that require this area of strength. Take time to think of and name the activities you love, both at school and at home. Your answers can help discover your strengths.
❥DISCOVERING STRENGTHS - Logical/Mathematical Abilities: Think of some ways you could get stronger at math and logic. Could you play chess or solve logic puzzles and brain teasers? Could you practice adding numbers together?
❥DISCOVERING STRENGTHS - Spatial & Visual Ability : What activities in school require this ability? During the day, notice when you or those around you use these abilities. Think about ways to strengthen your visual ability. Could you paint a picture? Could you draw and then build something with plastic blocks? Could you do a puzzle?
