Hello Ranger Families!
As we embrace the spring season, I couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and effort our students, families and staff demonstrate every day. Let's continue to work as a team to foster positive behaviors and respectful attitudes to help prepare our students for a successful transition to the next school year. April and May are busy months, so please be sure the read through the newsletter carefully to ensure you mark down all the events and activities on your calendar. We are looking forward to a great remainder of our school year.

Please plan accordingly for traffic or construction delays to ensure your child can arrive at school on time and depart promptly at the end of their school day. Attendance
As a reminder, students who are called off for a vacation during the school year WILL NOT be excused. Vacations are not excused absences. If the school is notified in advance of such a trip, reasonable efforts are made to prepare a general list of assignments for the student to do while he/she is absent but parents should not expect the teacher to re teach material that is missed due to the vacation.

Help Shape the Future of School Dining
For the first time ever, students who complete the survey will have the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Dairy Grove! Each grade will have one lucky winner, randomly selected from those who participate. Don't miss this exciting opportunity!
We’re inviting elementary school students to participate with their parents' help unless the teachers are willing to hold this survey in class.
Why Their Feedback Matters
Their insights will help us improve menus, service, and overall dining satisfaction. At the end of the survey, we’ll compile and share key takeaways to highlight what matters most to students.

Nurse's Updates
Kids need at least 60 minutes of activity every day, but it doesn’t have to happen all at once! Think about ways you can squeeze quick activity sessions into different parts of your child’s day.
Everyone benefits from regular exercise. Here are some ways your child can benefit:
· Having stronger muscles and bones.
· Having a lower chance of getting Type II diabetes.
· Having lower blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels.
· A better outlook on life.
Different age groups require different amounts and types of physical activity each day. Check out what type of physical activity your child needs https://bit.ly/3T9erU4.
How can families support healthy active living for their children?
- Set limits for your children’s screen time.
- Play organized sports.
- If possible, consider walking them to school instead of driving.
- Make sure activities are safe by encouraging protective equipment use.
- Be a good role model.
- Use balls with different textures to practice catching and bouncing.
- Make up games to incorporate different types of movement, like jumping over puddles or cracks, or chasing bubbles.
- Invent silly walks or runs, like running like a monkey or jumping like a bunny.
Your child learns the most about healthy and active living from you, so include your whole family in regular physical activity and healthy eating. Here are some tips:
· Keep activities fun!
· Pick activities that are appropriate for your child’s age and development.
· Enroll your kids in sports and take them to the park to play.

Bus Behavior
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students on school buses is of our top priorities. Please take note of the following guidelines that your child must adhere to while using school transportation. Students who repeatedly do not follow expectations will be subject to a bus referral. Multiple referrals can lead to loss of bus privileges.
Thank you for helping us reinforce these rules with your child. By working together, we can ensure a safe and positive transportation experience for all students!
