Ozark Varsity Cheer recently traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete in the UCA nationals contest! 3 Girls Wrestlers Qualify for State
A massive congrats to Emily Price, Emma Tsaruk and Maelynn Sundlie who all placed at the District meet on Feb. 9 and now will get to compete at the Class 2 state tournament on Feb. 23. Congrats ladies and good luck at state!
This week, OHS junior Lyla Wood has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Lyla is a member of the Ozark varsity girls basketball team and one of their most effective defensive players. However, she recently stepped outside her comfort zone and scored an amazing half-court shot during Ozark's 69-47 win over Willard.
“She's a defensive-minded kid and works very hard on the defensive end,” Head Coach Brandon Clift said. “I’ve continued to encourage her to shoot the basketball. But she's not necessarily a score-first mentality kind of kid. She's very capable offensively. I knew it was in there for her. When we shoot in practice, she shoots as well as a lot of the kids."
Congrats Lyla!
This week, OHS senior Johnny Williams has been selected as an Athlete of the Week! Johnny is a member of the Ozark varsity boys wrestling team. He recently won an individual COC Championship and joined the 100-win club!
Congrats Johnny!
This week, senior Laura Wolfe has been selected as our Artist of the Week! Laura is one of Ozark's many talented musicians. She was recently not only named first chair in the All-District Honor band for French horn, but also received all-state band recognition as an honorable mention. She's been an all-state honoree for the past two years.
Congrats Laura!
This week OHS senior Rhett Daniel has been selected as our Tiger of the Week! Rhett is a cadet in OHS's JROTC and the captain of the rifle sporter team. At the state competition he placed first and was recently a part of the team that placed second at a national competition!
Congrats Rhett!
