Relax and Recharge this Spring Break
As we get ready to head into Spring Break, use this time to take care of yourself. Relax, recharge, and disconnect from school for a few days so that you are ready to finish out trimester 3 and the rest of the school year on a high note. School breaks can bring forth all sorts of emotions for students. If you are concerned, anxious, or in need of support, this Support Slideshow has some helpful resources for you.

Wrestler Headed Back to State!
Congratulations to Tramaine Davis who qualified for the Wrestling State Tournament! It is being held now through March 1st at the Xcel Energy Center. Good Luck Tramaine!
Girls' Hockey - Consolation Champions!
Congratulations to the Girls' Hockey Team on making it to State and are the Class AA Consolation Champions!!
2025 Athena Award Winner - Mackenzie Jones
Mackenzie has excelled in Soccer, Hockey, and Track for Andover and plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison next year and play Hockey.
Boys' Hockey Headed Back to State!
Congratulations and good luck to the Boys' Hockey Team as they had back to the State Tournament! Watch for an email with more details about timing and ticketing early next week. Go Huskies!
Winter Band Concert
- The Band Concert is being held on Monday, March 3rd at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium.
Attention 2025 Graduates!
Andover Community Scholarships are one time scholarships made available by generous members in the community to Andover High School Seniors. All students who plan to attend a 4-year university, community college, or trade school are encouraged to review available scholarships and apply. Information on available scholarships can be found here. The document will be updated if additional scholarships become available. Please note that due dates for applications do vary, so students are encouraged to check scholarship information early and often. Students can direct scholarship application questions to Eric Feigum in the Andover High School Career Center.
AVID Students Visit Feed My Starving Children
Our AVID students worked together on February 25th at Feed My Starving Children for a youth service project. Our group packed 170 boxes which provided 36,720 meals. Students had a great day giving back.

Spring Sports Registration

The form, flyers, opt-ins and detailed information will come out the first part of trimester 3.
PSEO
The application process is open for students to apply to PSEO programs of their choice. You will find more information and links to specific programs on our PSEO website. In addition to applying to the PSEO program, students will need to complete the Notice of Student Registration Form and turn it into their counselor along with the signed Andover HS PSEO agreement.
Counselors will complete the NSOR form and return it to the student so they can submit it to the college, along with their transcript and any other documents the college requires. Please refer to the college's website as you work through the application process. Once students complete all steps in the application process, they will work with the college to get registered/enrolled. The final step is to submit a copy of their PSEO schedule to their high school counselor and adjust their high school registration.
College and Career Center Updates
ACT Test - Save the Date
The school district will be offering a FREE ACT with writing test for all Juniors on Tuesday, April 22nd. Students do NOT need to register online for this test. Watch eNews and email for more details as the date approaches.
Senior Community Scholarship Application Open
The Andover High School Community Scholarship application is open! Students received an email on February 24th with the application link. All seniors are encouraged to apply. For these scholarships, students complete one application in order to be eligible. All students must apply by 3:00 PM on Monday, March 24th to be eligible.

News from the Youth Service Coordinator

Leo Club Projects
At the February 20th Leo Club meeting, they had a guest speaker from YouthLink. YouthLink works with young people, ages 16-24, experiencing homelessness. They are located in downtown Minneapolis and serve youth across the Twin Cities. The speaker provided insight into the organization and the reasons for youth homelessness. Following the presentation, students participated in a service project to benefit YouthLink. They repackaged diapers to support young parents experiencing homelessness.

DROP in for Service!
In an effort to bring the spirit of service to Andover High School, Youth Service will be hosting a variety of fun and meaningful service projects on select late start Mondays. These projects will take place right at school, and participating students will earn 1 service hour per session. Click here to view the Tri 3 schedule.
At the February 24th Drop in, attendees made dog toys for the Coon Rapids Humane Society. At the next Drop in for Service (March 31st), students will be making superhero capes for Children’s Hospital of Minnesota.
Jefferson Award winner for February- Ari Miller
The Students in Action Multiplying Good Award for Public Service is a prestigious national recognition system honoring community and public volunteerism. Each month, we recognize one student who has taken effective action and created a meaningful impact in our community. For the month of February, we want to recognize and celebrate Ari Miller. Ari has volunteered over 200 hours at YMCA Day Camp Manitou! Her enthusiasm and dedication made a lasting impact, as she became a tremendous help to the camp staff and a favorite among the campers. Ari’s service reflects her positive attitude and passion for working with children.

A big THANK YOU goes out to our winter sports and activities volunteers, Snowdaze dance and Winter Trek chaperones. Thank you for your dedication to providing mentorship and safety to our students in their activities. We appreciate all that you do!

Become an Andover HS adult volunteer by registering at Andover HS Volunteer Online Registration. Volunteers will complete an online volunteer application and free background check. Completing the volunteer forms helps keep our students safe while enriching their lives through extracurricular activities. District to host hiring event for operational and student support positions March 27 at Anoka High School
The Anoka-Hennepin School District will host an in-person hiring event for operational and student support positions Thursday, March 27th from 3:30-5:30 PM at Anoka High School. The hiring event will take place in the atrium located near the main entrance of the school.
