The Board approved the new strategic plan last night, culminating a six month collaboration of students, staff, parents and community members. The strategic plan is rewritten by the Millard community every five years and gives the district its focus and direction. Ballots for Millard Public School’s special election will be arriving in all Millard mailboxes in mid-February. The district is asking voters to continue the levy override authority that has been in place since 2018. Nebraska law requires voters to approve levy overrides every five years. Millard’s override has provided stability, and without it, reductions would most likely be necessary in both people and programs.
